You did a good job. *sends credit* You know I like lots of contrast, so of course I would say add more contrast. heheheheeee I sometimes add so much contrast whole parts of a photo are solid white. Then I go, think it is too much? *head desk...thump*

Don't Beast Out on me now. LOL! :) I'll take your daltonic and raise you my dyslexia.

Ok, I'll tell you about my disorder:

"Developmental reading disorder (DRD), or dyslexia, occurs when there is a problem in areas of the brain that help interpret language. It is not caused by vision problems. The disorder is a specific information processing problem that does not interfere with one's ability to think or to understand complex ideas. Most people with DRD have normal intelligence, and many have above-average intelligence." A.D.A.M. Medical Encyclopedia.

So, I have a reading disability because my brain tries to see words as pictures and 3D objects. When it acts up, words move and I get dizzy. When I was young, I would feel terrified to read in class, which makes it worse. I had to move my pencil along with the word I was saying because the lines would shift on me. They thought I had a vision prob, but the tests came back fine. Then they were like she writes "d" when it should be "g"...she has Dyslexia. She thinks in pictures and can view things in her mind in 3D and in color. I was like um doesn't everyone? Then the math teacher said it made sense now that I could know the answers without working problems out.

So here I am a Dyslexic individual writing fics. heheheheeee Just be thankful that my fic paragraphs are not all one run on sentence. Verb tense and spelling mean nothing to me. I read slow so I can understand everything.

You should have seen the Principal's face at my high school when it took me half a day to memorize my Valedictorian speech. He came in going what is the problem with the speeches. He was told the Valedictorian was having nerves about being recorded on film.

He kept telling me to just breathe and start over during the rehearsal.

I said, "You're distracting me by saying breathe."

He said something like well it is your nerves that is making you stumble over your words.

I crossed my arms and said something like, "No. It is my Dyslexia."

He went white as a sheet and glanced around then said something like. "Take the rest of the day and memorize it so you don't have to read when the cameras are on."

I said. "That's what I'm trying to do. You keep telling me to breathe. I know how to breathe. I just can't read out loud." LOL!

It takes guts for me to post my fics just as it does for you to make icons. But, I think both of us do a good job. :)

So no hiding. :) We have to be brave just like Vincent and Catherine. ;)

Thanks, Fae.

lol And I´m not Beasting Out with you. I only do that when you tease me with your fic.

I think that your dislexia is very cool (that make any sense?).
You write very weel, I´m surprised that you have that.

Sorry, but I laugh when you said: "You're distracting me by saying breathe.".

I also laugh when you said: I crossed my arms and said something like, "No. It is my Dyslexia.". It made me remind of you stomping your foot.

And I laugh again when I read what you said for the guy for the last time.

All of this was very funny in a good way.

Yes, I think that to, we are doing a good job.

Alright, the Vincent here will not hide anymore, Cat. Lol

I know you are not really Beasting Out. LOL!

I hated being a person with dyslexia in school. I would practically break out into a cold sweat and shake when the teacher would ask me to read in class. If I could just calm down and tell myself it didn't matter, I could do it.

My mom tried to help. She patted on me and said it was ok that in time I would learn to use it. It was like having x-men powers and not being able to use them. It only messed my life up. When I calmed down, she told me to use a pencil or pen to follow the words so the lines would stop moving. It worked. I started using lots of tricks to cover it up. To this day, when I read I follow the words with the mouse. It lets me read faster.

Here is the closest thing that shows how it feels:

Is actually:

I started reading a lot. A lot. I would repeat the words in my mind and tell myself someone was telling me a story.

I have gotten to the point my emotions don't kick in anymore. And if I look stupid then I look stupid.

I still lose time. An hour could go by and it felt like 10 min. I never let them give me extra time on tests. I did everything right along with everyone else and ended up having the highest grades. I got obsessed with A's. One extreme to another. I had to calm that down eventually. LOL! I had a 3.9 in college when I got my degrees.

To this day, I still have to say in my mind "I write with my right hand." To know which directing is right.

I can feel it happening now and I don't fight it. When my imagination is running wild and I feel dizzy and my vision zooms in on something making it look very large then back out making it look small. It some times happens when I Photoshop and when I am writing a fic.

When I write, I am picturing it happening in my mind like it is a video and I hear them talking in their own voices. I just type out what I am seeing like I am writing cometary on a vid I saw.

Now, my life would be dull without it. I just think of it as X-men powers. I always had a crush on Wolverine. LOL!

Ooooh I freaked the Principal out. LOL! I think he was afraid a dyslexic person was reading in front of everyone and cameras. Well, how did he think I felt? LOL!!! I had been in a lot of plays, so I just pretended I was playing a role. I was awesome.

I did stomp my foot when I was a little kid. My mom told me that when I was 2 a little boy said "Oh mom look at the cute baby." I stomped my foot and said "I nota baby. Innnn Violet." His mom told him not to call little girls babies that they don't like it. She said she had a laugh with the mother when the boy looked confused. hehehheheheeeee

Yes, no hiding. It is what makes us unique.

I wasn´t very fan of art classes in school, teachers and etc would complain that I wasn´t doing a good job in coloring the things and then they would make faces or ignore me, it was ridiculous. I love drawing, so it was frustrating.

You don´t see some words you in the first time you read something?

I love how you didn´t let this get in your way for too long.

I like how you write, I do that to.

I think that is badass, you are a cool mutant. Because of my daltonism I fell like having X-Men powers to.

lol I laugh just by picturing you talking with the guy. If I was there I guess I would laugh even more because I would remind of you stomping your foot.

lol You did? I laugh some much here! Wow. A little girl with attitude, that´s cool.

Your name is Violet? I tough that he could be Fae, even that the “Fae” is because you probably like fairies a lot. Wow. I like your name, is beautiful and different. I tought that “Violet Vision” was just a login, a very cool one.

That reminds me Mystique. Mutant and proud.

Yes, sometimes my eyes skip over words and when I notice it I stop and gog back a few then start again. If I keep the mouse on the screen on the word I am reading, then it usually is not as bad.

When I feel my eyes blur or things move, I just move the mouse back and forth a second then it refocuses.

X-men powers are a pain, but they are fun to have.

I think your teachers were being stupid. They should have found some way to describe it to you or group things for you...something not just acting like an idiot.

That is like telling someone something while they are not even in the building when when they show up complain that they did not listen to you. Hello! They were not there to hear it just like Hello if you can not see something guess what you can not see it. They sound like they are not good at their jobs. You find out why something is happening. *shakes head*

Yes, every now and then some attitude comes out. I can't help it. When I notice I am doing it, I try to stop.

Ok example...

I called the pharmacy to get a med filled and they said they would fax the dr office. They said to wait 3 days. I waited 4 and checked back they said they had not heard back from the dr. I asked if they could fax again they said ok. I waited again and called back.

By this time, I was not happy. I called and they said that they never even faxed the dr. I stayed calm and said I was told they did once and would do it again. Then the person said they found where it was sent once. They said that they already sent it and for me to wait. I said it has been over a week and do you want me to just call them.

The woman said no that calling the dr office confuses them and can cause problems to wait. Then we kept talking and after a while she said that it was not their fault that the dr was not responding. I said I don't care whose fault it was that I just needed the meds.

She said if I needed them that much then I should use "Common Sense" and call the Dr.

I paused and my brain shot back what she said before. I said something like. "Wait. You are saying that I should use common sense which should tell me to call the dr. So you are saying I don't have common sense?"

"No just if it important then call them."

"I thought you said that me calling the dr caused problems and makes it worse. So first you say it is bad to do it then that I should use Common Sense and know to do it. Which is it!"

At that moment, I realized I was snapping at her. I took a deep breath when she said she would fax them again. We hung up.

I called the dr office and told them. They said they got 2 faxes and replied to both and have confirmation. I asked them to send all the replies and the confirmations please. They said ok.

LOL!

I agree, X-Men powers are fun, but they are also a pain sometimes.

I agree, after all... If you gonna say that something is not good, you got to help and be nice.

Sorry, I laught later with your "Hello", I do that to.

I laught so much! You have patience. If was me I would probably wait just 4 days. And would just say: "Ok, thank you. I will call." lol
