Oh, Colorado, let me count the ways...

My parents have spent the last week here in Colorado enjoying the sights. We (Isaac and I) took them around to all of the places they wanted to visit, including Red Rocks, Chatfield State Park, Garden of the Gods.

We'll start with downtown Denver. This was taken from atop a clock tower, which I toured during Doors Open Denver. Doors Open Denver is a celebration of local architects that helped shape Denver's downtown. Buildings, business and museums will allow people to tour through them, free, to appreciate the architecture. We got a late start and only really investigated the clock tower and the Museum of Contemporary Art (which was unimpressive, as far as art goes).

The view from the other side of the clock tower.

If you look closely you can make out downtown Denver. I do enjoy being able to see such distances; really puts things into prospective.

What type of tree is this? I really love them. This particular one was (obviously) growing quite crooked in Garden of the Gods Park, near the balancing rocks.

Photographers photographing. From left to right, Megan, David and Isaac. Megan and David are our roommates.

My dad and Isaac peering into a cave at Red Rocks.

I couldn't exclude the dogs. This is Dio, taking a rest after some hiking in Red Rocks.

They go everywhere with me. Here Coal is watching some teenagers drink and play loud, bad music in the parking lot at Red Rocks.

I love this state.

And, on that note, I am reading what's going on with the posts and community, but have just been too busy with visitors and work to really comment or post. I suspect this will continue for a while longer.
