Theme! and other odds and ends

So, thanks to the reminding post about the theme, I took a few extremely lame stripey pictures.
I wore TWO striped shirts and got called "The Stripiest" all day. I actually think at least three of my friends used that exact title. Everyone was full of compliments, happily enough.

And then I took a trip on my magical boat to the Land of the Striped Sky and the Stripe-y Rain!

WHOA! WHOA! STRIPES EVERYWHERE! TUCKER DOWN AND GRAB THE BAILERS! WE'RE HEADING FOR A BIG ONE! OH MAN, THIS GIRL CAN REALLY USE PAINT! CHECK OUT THOSE ALMOST-STRAIGHT, ALMOST-CONSISTENT STRIPES! I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS STRIPED ECSTASY FLOODING MY BODY!

Right. Stripes are nice.

I also feel like telling everyone two things:

1. On Saturday, I'm heading up to northern Michigan to spend two months taking summer ecology classes at my school's Biostation. I just got myself some cool chest waders and some heavy-duty bug spray. While I am there, I will keep everyone posted with pretty mosquito-filled photographs.

2. I sort of broke up with the Adam fellow (remember him from several gag-worthy posts?) and immediately following, my life got extremely complicated in the boy department. Don't worry, it's probably not complicated to be beyond everyone's mental capacity. Anyway, Adam and I somehow segued from being broken-up to being in a secret 'open relationship,' which appears to mean that we consider ourselves single, but still make out a lot and talk on the phone like three times a day. This sounds bad, but I'm actually rather happy with the situation.

Thing is, though, that my brother's best friend (and also one of mine) just grabbed my face and started making out with me a few days ago, which was an odd new development.

This is him:

I thought he was way cuter three years ago, when he looked like this:

But such is life.

So I had this going-away party a few days ago, and the first four people to show up were:

1. Andy, the brother's best friend.
2. Adam, who'd told me he couldn't come.
3. Matt, the guy I dated for two years before dating Adam - I'd thought he was still at school in Maine.
Matt:

4. Zech, the guy I dated right before Matt.
Zech, on the right:

It was the craziest thing! I was suddenly hanging out in my living room with each of the last four boys I had kissed! They even arrived in chronological order.

Pause - I just realized that I got much, much too into this entire situation and an incredibly pointless story which I doubt any of you will be interested in. Oh dear.

Anyway, the point is, I'm going to be really happy to be leaving Adam and Andy and all of the confusion for a couple of months.

And now I will quietly end this post.
