Revlon Colorstay - Normal or Oily/Combo?

Feb 18, 2010 16:46

I wore the oily/combo version for a few months in 2009 but I started breaking out. Not sure if it was actually due to the foundation or just my skin misbehaving at the time. My skin's been pretty manageable lately and I am thinking of switching back. I love the coverage and how long it lasts. Not to mention it's only $12 compared to my MUFE Mat Velvet, which is close to $40 with tax. I also think I'm wearing a shade too dark (25 - warm ivory).

One of the main things I didn't like about Colorstay was how it would often look a bit dry and mask-like. I've heard that the oily/combo version has SD alcohol in it while the Normal/Dry does not. Should I try the Normal to Dry? How does it apply and wear throughout the day compared to the Oily/Combo? Does it blend better? What are the differences in color? I wore the color Ivory even though it's actually a bit too pink for my tastes (Buff is too dark for my fair skin).

Thanks for any advice! :)
