Ugh ugh ugh.
Here's the tl;dr part:
I'm going in to turn in an application for a job. This is one of those places where they'll briefly look over your application, and, if they like you, they'll usually promise you the job without an interview and then send you out for your drug test.
The problem is that I really look like death today. I've never had acne, and I rarely break out, so it really kills my self-esteem when I get pimples. For some reason, I've developed about three pimples on the left side of my face near my jawline. My jaw line is one of my favorite features, and it really frames my face, so having these pimples here really kills my appearance in the grand scheme of things.
If I'm not confident and I don't look good and I know it, it might ruin my chances for this job, which I need desperately.
Two of the pimples don't have heads; they're pretty small. There's one that's disappearing. However, there's a larger one that does have a head, and it's really dry. The primary issue is that all of the pimples are EXTREMELY red! This one is so bad because I woke up in the middle of a dream picking at it. (No shit, I was dreaming that I was a politician and there was a senator I was warring against. I was beating him up in my dream and when I woke up, I was picking at the pimple. As I emerged from the dream, I distinctly realized that the pimple WAS the senator. How weird is that? I'm not even into politics.)
Short version:
Job interview. Three gnarly, red pimples. I need to cover them somehow. These pimples really can't be popped, not even the one with the head. It popped last night and the only thing that came out was blood, which is why it looks horrible today.
Here's what I've tried to reduce the pimples:
- OCM (it was making a big difference until this new pimple emerged)
- Aloe vera juice and apple cider vinegar toner (helps keep new ones from forming
- Alba's Coconut soap-free face wash (doesn't make a damn difference)
- Clearasil spot treatment (helps diminish them, but it makes them more red)
- Crushed aspirin and apple cider vinegar paste mask (same as before)
- Steaming (seemed to help a little bit)
Here's what I'm wondering:
-- I want to cover these pimples without drawing even more attention to them. When most people cover up pimples, it just draws more attention to them, especially if they have a head. I need to look really put-together, so it would be ridiculous to put foundation everywhere except this affected area. I can't just try to remove the head from the pimple because then there will be a little gross hole in my make-up.
1. Are there any super-special tips and tricks to covering these without making it look cakey and disgusting?
-- These pimples could take days to go away, and I really can't wait that long.
2. Is there any other way to diminish the appearance of the pimples? Face masks? Is there some superman combination of ingredients and methods that is lethal to zits?
3. I'm considering crushing up a skin antibiotic that's meant to be taken internally and applying it to the pimples. Has anyone ever done this? Bad idea?
Thank you so much!
