MAC 187

i recently started using my MAC 187 to apply liquid foundation and i absolutely love the flawless finish it gives! definitely can't get enough, and it is so so much better than the 109 which sheds like crazy!

however, even after washing it, the white parts of the bristles are still slightly yellow/foundation colored! is there something i can use to deep clean it so that the color goes back to pure white? i use baby shampoo to get rid of all the build up and then follow it up with MAC brush cleaner, but it's still not as white as it used to be when I exclusively used the brush with powders. also, it feels kind of different when i touch the bristles - like they're slightly sticky or still dirty or something (they're not actually, bc i always make sure to wash and rinse super well, idk how to explain it though!). is this normal when you use the 187 with liquid for a while? do you think it's worth it to get another one and keep the old one for liquid use only?
