Does benzoyl peroxide make acne scars worse??

Ok, ok.. so I just woke up this morning to see that a bunch of acne on my forehead (between my eyebrows) cleared up overnight. One of them had dried out and formed a scab...while the rest of them, about 4 of them, left FREAKING red marks as a parting gift! They weren't even big whiteheads...they were small, under the skin, and not inflamed at all. How did this happen? All I can think of is the Neutrogena Deep Pore Mask I used yesterday, which has 3.5% bp...I KNEW I should have tossed it and stuck with Queen Helene! The only other acne treatment I've been using is 2% salicylic acid, which I don't think is the culprit.

So, now I have all these acne marks concentrated in one teeny-tiny spot...basically, my question is: what causes this to happen, and how can I fix it? I cant wait around for 6 months waiting for these dots to fade... :( Does Bio Oil/Mederma work?
