red lips, halloween costume
So I'm being a Sailor Girl for Halloween. The outfit is mainly navy blue and white, but with red accents. I'm wearing red peep toe pumps, and since the costume is short I'm wearing red lacy boy shorts underneath. I like the red accents, so I decided I should try wearing red lipstick- although I never have before.
I took two pictures (excuse the camera phone pics),
I did this after school all day, so my lips are kinda dry and my makeup is kinda blah but otherwise how does this look on me? I'm a natural redhead with lots of blonde highlights and pink undertones in my skin (I'm an NW20)... does this kind of red look good? If you think there's something that would look better, please let me know! I used Clinique's Angel Red, but plan on getting something else if I get some good suggestions. I'd prefer nothing orange-y.
FYI, I did this fairly quickly without a lipliner and using the MAC 316 brush. It could be neater, but for the night of I'll be using a lipliner and my lipbrush and taking more time... if I end up doing the red, that is.
