Have you tried an eyeshadow primer or foundation to help keep the shadow on?

it sounds like you need a primer/base.
you can just smudge the f/l all of your lids & use that as a base or you can use an e/s primer & then you add the carbon.

MAC paints also make a good primer as well,
but I'm more for the Urban Decay Primer Potion since I use that everyday.

Yeah. I was trying to be cheap and just use foundation as a primer, but it obviously isn`t working out that well. haha. ghetto version. BUT I guess I`m going to invest in Urban Decay`s Primer because I can`t seem to get the look I want without a primer. It`s only the black that gets all icky and faded too.
Ya know, I never thought about smudging f/l over my lids. That could be another alternative. But yes. Sephora here I come.

I'm all about primer. I did a smokey eye today with UD Primer Potion all over, then Urban Decay Vapor all over, Prescriptives Platinum, stila Pewter, and Prescriptives Jet liner. It lasted from around 7:30am to a little bit ago (it's around 11:30 and I was baking muffins!) When I use my fluidlines they last about all day
