Since I hit the new 2, I want to try to invest for several skincare products but I don't know which skin type category I am in.
I googled oily combination skin and got this from About, com: (My comments in [ bold ] )
If you have oily skin, chances are good you know full well that you fall into this category. People with oily skin usually have the
following characteristics:
- Large visible pores [I'm not sure how pores are considered 'visible'???]
- Frequent acne (black heads and white heads) [Only had acne when my PMS is about to come. After that no more acne, just blemishes.]
- Visible shine, especially mid-day [It does shine like 2 hours after I cleanse my face at anytime of the day]
- Frequent acne on other areas such as your back and chest [Yes! This is just so sad =,( ]
Combination skin could be considered the toughest skin type to conquer because you could be dealing with two opposite ends of the skin care spectrum. The majority of people with combination skin have a T-zone that is oily, and cheeks that are dry.[Yeah, I kind of notice that too coz when my skin was oily, only the forehead is visible and the cheeks, not so much. Sometimes non] Many people deal with occasional breakouts and larger than normal pores, especially on the nose. [Not so much on the nose but there are breakouts before PMS starts]
As you can tell from my comments, it does seemed that I have both oily and combination skin. Or do I?
So people with oily/combination skin type, how can you tell which is your skin type and what products had you used which you think had managed to control the oil problem?
I'm thinking of trying Tea Tree and Seaweed lines from The Body Shop. Had anyone tried them? How was it?
And any thing/ways to clear off blemishes? Coz it's kinda depressing to be surrounded with people who has flawless skin or thinks that the oily T-zone is my sweat in an air-conditioned room! Oh, I live in a tropical climate country so basically it's summer all year round.
Thank you so much in advance!!
