Yes, they have a very relaxed return policy. They'll take opened products back with or without a receipt. I've never had any problems returning anything. They don't resell used products.
so, if i ask for a sample, will it be like an individual little sealed packet that i can take home with me and use with my regular makeup? or will they just expect me to try some from the grody communal sample product in the store?
A lot of the time they take it out of the sample product in the store. The primers are largely in pump bottles which are sanitary and not what I would ever refer to as "grody".
oh, yay, that's good to hear. sorry, i'm a little weird about makeup samples because i've seen people do gross stuff like take the sample tube of lipstick and rub it right on their mouth. yuck.
They'll pour/pump/squeeze some into a little sample container for you from the tester. The only samples I've ever gotten from Sephora in sealed packets are ones that they randomly put in my bag with a purchase.
