I’ve been having product build up problems for about 5/6 months now. At first I tried apple cider vinegar once a week for a month. It would work for the first day but after that it would build back up.

I then tried baking soda once and it made my hair really brittle feeling. So I didn’t try it again.

A few weeks later I tried with white vinegar and it helped immediately. However, on the third day I would start with product build up again.

I was shampooing with tresemme.

I stopped using tresemme and bought Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo. It basically helped the same way apple cider did.

A couple weeks later I went and bought Giovanni 50:50 Balanced Shampoo. It also does the same of getting rid of the build up for a day and then I’m back to my sticky, product buildup.

I don't know what else to do. When I leave the house I just put my hair in a bun because it's disgusting looking from the back.

clarifying shampoo, brand: neutrogena, apple cider vinegar, baking soda
