Beauty recessionistas share your secrets!!

I apologize for using the word "recessionista" but... I had no choice!

I am a junkie of luxury and pampering but this recession kicked me in the ass and I've cut back a lot. I haven't gotten a hair cut, facial, or massage in about a year (I can tell you are tearing up by now) and I HAVE SURVIIIIIIIVED. I'm starting to miss it though. The days of dropping $100 bucks at a spa, or even $30 bucks on a trim won't be back for a while, so I am scouting high and low for coupons and great deals.

••••••For all you Bay Area peepol, I found this constantly-changing buffet of deals:

There's all kinds of good finds... entertainment, dining, yoga/body wellness, medspas and the like.

•••••• This might seem obvious to some of you, but becoming a "member" of chains/drugstores like CVS, Rite Aid, Sephora/etc. etc. lets them keep track of how much money you spend there and they will reward you with coupons. And of course scouting the back of local publications/magazines has tons of deals too.

••••• Check yelp for good beauty schools in your area. A lot of these places offer services like facials, microdermabrasion, and haircuts on the cheap but they aren't always the best at advertising. A good one that's in Santa Clara/LA is this one:

So ya'll.... any tips/websites you'd like to share?
