A/N: This is the first of my Christmas gift fics, so with it comes a big MERRY CHRISTMAS to misumisu84! It's short, but I hope you enjoy it!
Shunsui found Jyuushiro packing brightly-coloured clothing into a small bag. A case lay on the floor beside him, filled with more clothes, a collection of children's toys, and a stack of books that ensured it would not close without some very determined re-packing.
"I don't know why I always pack books. I never get a chance to read them," Jyuushiro said cheerfully. "Where have you been, anyway? I've missed you."
"I've been busy. Nanao-chan has had me reorganising all of the division's recent records, and her idea of recent isn't quite as strict as mine. I think it's the worst time of year to be taking on such a big job, but she insists it's important and she's probably right."
Jyuushiro laughed. "You know you would say it was the worst time of year whenever she chose to suggest such a thing."
"Ah, maybe that is true," Shunsui replied. "So, are you off to surround yourself in all the family again this year?"
Jyuushiro looked thoughtful. "It depends."
"On what?"
"Whether you are coming with me," Jyuushiro answered, beginning to shift the books and toys around in the case.
"Me?" Shunsui was surprised.
"Yes, you. It wouldn't very well be all the family without you now, would it?"
Shunsui could not stop his smile then, and Jyuushiro looked amused.
"You're really rather sentimental, aren't you, Shunsui?"
Shunsui's smile widened. "Perhaps."
"Well then," Jyuushiro said. "Come here and kiss me, and you can have a go at fitting all these things into the case. Then I'll help you pack your bags too."
"What a splendid plan."
