When it was late at night and they had just come back home after a grueling mission, the couples would often go their own ways to their bedrooms with little to no chatter amongst them. Bobby didn't know where Jean and Scott and Warren and Betsy got the strength from to do what they did behind closed doors, but he always knew that Hank would understand what he both wanted and needed without a single word spoken between them.
Oft, he would gently lay his forehead against Hank's furry biceps, and Hank would stroke his hair and kiss the top of his head before quietly bidding the others adieu and leading Bobby to their room. Always, once they were behind their own closed, bedroom door, Hank would lay down on their bed and take his love into his arms.
Bobby had always had a thing for chest hair, but no one else's hair could compare to his love. It tasted and smelled sweeter than any rose or candy ever had and was softer than even the very clouds he had imagined being cotton candy as a child. Bobby loved the way Hank's blue fur curled around him as he laid down upon him, his head upon his chest, and he loved the way Hank wrapped his arms around him, silently reassuring him that he was there and all was well.
In those gentle, loving arms, so blue and soft with fur, Bobby found the peace he so sorely needed. It was always there waiting for him with but just a glance, and Bobby knew that, in those wonderful, strong arms so gently clasping him, he was safe. He rubbed his cheek against his love's fur, raised his head, and pressed his lips to the place just over Hank's heart before laying his head down again.
Hank gently kneaded the back of Bobby's head and neck, easing away the soreness of his muscles, and a deep, soft sound rumbled forth from his throat, causing Bobby's smile to grow. Of all the secrets they shared that no one else knew a thing about, Bobby's favorite was Hank's purring. He listened to his purr and the sound of his heart beating gently beneath his ear, and those sounds of love and feeling of safety lulled him to sleep to dream of wonderful days spent freely loving his beloved with a huge smile upon his handsome face once more.
Still gently stroking his sweetheart's soft, brown hair, Hank smiled as Bobby dozed off, leaned down, and gently kissed his very own Sleeping Beauty. "I love you," he whispered before settling back down onto the bed, and then he, too, drifted peacefully off to sleep perchance to dream.
