I suck at updating...

Jun 09, 2009 20:57

So, I'm going to update with my 'To Do' list that I created today and let you figure out what I'm doing with my life, lol. Further questions/wants for elaboration you can leave in comments and I'll get back to you, I promise!

To Do This Week:

1. Write formal business plan for murder mystery dinner theatre
a. Prepare it for meeting at Staircase theatre next week
2. Website for Fringe
3. Fringe Script Edits
a. Do this after rehearsal tomorrow night, when you have EVERYTHING to give to Stephen
4. Contact La Cervejaria for possible dinner theatre booking
5. Secure space (either Imperial Pub or Cat's Eye, call Imperial AGAIN.) for June 19th Fundraiser
a. Once space is secured, secure actors for staged reading
b. Start big advertisements for June 19th fundraiser
6. Secure rehearsal date for Cat's Eye in June, before dress rehearsals
7. Book date next week for photos and publicity of "Out of Character"
8. Advertising on face book for Fringe and Fundraiser
9. New Canadian Character Ties list -- NRC work
10. Ask Jody about WIKIing -- NRC work
11. Go through canadian cam website and send Chris changes -- NRC work
12. The Lists and YOU post -- NRC work

So yes. Pretty much my life right now is ruled by 1. The Fringe Festival, 2. Getting this dinner theatre company up and running (I really, really want this to work out. Must kick my own ass. Must kick IT) 3. National office for the cam 4. Dating someone new named Jason. He is very sweet and a complete gentleman, but we are utter opposites 5. Working at the events center on the weekend. Yes, I actually do have SOME money coming in. Gasp. It's not enough.

The Fringe Festival should prove to be great. Our cast is AMAZING. Truly, brilliantly amazing. I come home with my stomach hurting because I've laughed so much and we still get work done. It's not a comedy (though there are funny moments) but the cast is just really brillant, witty, and works together awesomely. I couldn't be happier.

The script is quite solid and both about LARP but more so a show about finding your true love at the WRONG time in life, with LARP as a backdrop/setting. I find it to be an immensely human piece because of this, which I think makes it utterly universal to even non-LARPers. Adrianna and Leeman are already breaking my heart in rehearsals. I can't wait for the final project.

The show runs July 1st-12th at 8 pm every night, except for July 7th, when we're dark. Tickets are 8 bucks in advance or 10 dollars at the door. Check http://www.fringetoronto.com/fringe09/indoorBYOV_listings.html#O . The show is "Out of Character".
