Okay, so, since finishing school (Friday) I have only been able to motivate myself to get on the treadmill twice, for twenty minute intervals instead of my usual fifty minutes a day. And I have given myself a bit of a break in this regard, since it's the summer and I've already lost fifty-three pounds and felt like I needed to find a routine, rhythm in which my treadmill time would work. Usually, it's easy -- twenty five minutes before school to get energised, twenty five minutes after school to relax. Viola.
I also finished Gilmore Girls -- all seven seasons. Having discovered it last year, it has become my main relaxation time each day to go out on the treadmill and watch the latest whimsical wierdness that is Stars Hollow. I love it deeply. It's very unique. Which means that, upon finishing it, I knew I would have a hard job finding another series that I would be quite happy watching each day on the treadmill. Someone reccommended 'Brothers and Sisters' and so I picked up season One.
Problem? It's a no go. Brothers and Sisters, while interesting, is not a treadmill show. It has made getting into a routine harder. So this morning I go out and start again at the beginning of Gilmore Girls, and VOILA I am walking perfectly happy. But I doubt I will be able to withstand yet another several months of it. So, the hunt for the perfect Gilmore Girls replacement continues. It needs to have the pop culture references, the whimsy, the drama. That's a hard act to follow.
So if anyone has any suggestions, let me have 'em.
I'm gonna check out 'Samantha Who' since it's got the actress who played Sukie in it. But I am still holding out hope the perfect series will come along.
