(no subject)
I just had one of the best weekends ever.
Note: this was my first ever more-than-overnight time spent away from alex.
friday i cleaned up the leftover odds and ends at school that needed to be taken care of before break. then adam and i grabbed lunch at fridays and headed over to my place to finish my packing. we went to the airport at around 5 for our (delayed) flight that didnt get in until after 8. i said goodbye to alex and felt like an idiot because i was crying when i walked away from the car.
the flight was good and by the time we landed it was around 9:30. we met up with his parents after we found them (they had driven into the cargo loading area?). His parents are great. and his mom is so cute, she sent me home with all kinds of artsy-craftsy stuff to do with alex. friday night i cleaned out his friends at poker. saturday we went into the city by train, walked around a lot, did some window shopping, and saw the bodies exhibit. if you dont know what that it, check this out . it was really cool though. well maybe just for us, because we're health science majors and super nerds on top of that, and we were quizzing each other on the cranial nerves as we went through. we went to jones beach and walked the boardwalk/saw the sunset, and had dinner with his parents, then went out to see the long island entertainment- aka we ended up meeting up with some people at dave and busters. sunday we ended up sleeping most of the morning and then going to brunch, then lounging, then hanging out with some more people in the evening. Monday we drove around the island and chilled, then headed to the airport around 3. overall the whole weekend was great, and a really good balance of seeing the city and being touristy and just relaxing with my boyfriend over spring break. and now i miss him because he doesnt lfy back here until sunday night.
now im home and working on the massive loads of work that i have to do the rest of the week. plus alex is here with me and driving me crazy right now because i refuse to let him zombie himself in fron tof the tv all day. i think im heading out the rochester thursday to take him to the stong museum. it looks really cool and i think he'd like it.
so thats my life right now. :) i like it.
