Today we celebrate the birth....of geeks everywhere

May 29, 2011 19:03

As most of you (better bloody) know, Wednesday was Geek Pride Day.  Thus, we shall celebrate!  ^_^

First, and most importantly....

Ladies (and gentlemen), my dice collection, complete with the TARDIS keychain time_converges got me and the tin I got from my old editor when I worked at the paper (and now I can use his tag again, woot).

In the spirit of the holiday, I shall provide some links.

1.  I made a macro!  Firefly?  Doctor Who?  Yes please?   Click here.

2.  Another macro, this one by lizardbeth_j.  Hilarity based on Curse of the Black Spot ensues.   Giggles ahoy!

3.  Of course, I have to link you to this bit of goodness.  What sort of gamer dork would I be if I didn't?  Actually, I just need to embed this one, because it's that ridiculous.  :D

4.  Mythbusters is, as always, a must for this sort of celebration.  Enjoy Adam Savage (the goofy ginger one) making AWESOME.

5.  In case you don't already have a wonderful towel, I suggest this one.  Or, if you have a special someone, you could get a pair.

6.  HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!
7.  A little photo-technical goodness from failblog.  Can your monitor do that?

8.  Because you spend all your money on con tickets and sparkly dice, you probably now have the need to read this.

9.  Someday you (general you) will tell your children of the amazing horror of this music video.  Watch it.  Watch it now.  (See how I got away without doing the RickRoll?  That's because I'm freaking amazing.  Bam.)

10.  Epic snarky Cracked article about Doctor Who.  Because it's ridiculously amazing.  ^_^

11.  Because I can't resist the lame joke.  TURN IT UP TO 11....erm, I mean play Eleven.  Rather, a proposed version of Eleven, that was later scrapped for the theme we know now.  (And I just negated my credibility in #9.  I feel very little shame.)

mythbusters, youtube, the editor, music, time_converges, the dice are trying to kill me, technology, geek cred, cracked is crack, doctor who
