You Know You're From Columbus When...
You remember the Municipal Auditorium and actually cried/were at the ceremony when they tore it down. The same thing for the Three Arts Theatre.
The big city next to you is Atlanta.
You not only think Kadie the Cow is a national landmark but you know the history of her.
You know that Weracoba and Lakebottom are the same park.
You were surprised when you found out they had a Barnes and Noble.
You see a speed limit of 55 and that automatically means everyone will drive either 75 or 35, nothing in between. They will also drive in which ever lane puts you in the most danger.
You know people from Taylor Co. who come to Columbus because it's the Big City.
You live in the suburbs and know where they are: Midland, Upatoi, Ft. Benning, Phenix City, Smiths, Harris Co., Box Springs, Waverly Hall, Hamilton.
You know the "correct" way to pronounce "Buena Vista Rd." and "Jordan".
You've hung out at Waffle House or Wal-Mart because they were the only things open.
Your best vacation was either Pine Mountain, Panama City Beach, or Destin.
You've ever been to a Columbus Mudcats game.
You know someone in the U.S. Army or are stationed in it yourself.
You've eaten at the Cannon, Country's Barbeque, or Miriam's.
You can name at least 5 churches within a one mile radius of your house.
You know someone with a last name of Bradley, Hardaway, Kinnett, Schwob, or Jordan.
You have ever gone to the Hooch just to see it cover the Riverwalk or the Dillingham St. Bridge.
You remember when CSU was Columbus College, you remember when University Ave. was Cody Rd., and Veterans Pkwy was 4th Ave/Beallwood Connector/Hamilton Rd.
You know why you can't reach a lot of people on Wednesday nights or most of Sunday.
you can't use your check card anywhere.
you go to the strip mall or peachtree mall for fun.
(also, you know what to do when your friend says "let's cruise the strip")
your addiction to myspace is a result of living in columbus.
you know where "crybaby bridge" is.
you know what the hell an RC, Diet Rite, or a Moon Pie is...and actually enjoy them.
Fun, to you, is having a bon fire and shooting the shit with old redneck men.
you've found yourself wandering around Linwood cemetery and reading the epitaphs.
being able to go to Atlanta is like a gift from heaven.
if I say "homeless man with the cart on veterans pkwy" you know who I'm talking about.
