I was thinking... if there is one thing we all have to understand before we grow up and leave our homes is each other. And that sounds really corny, but especially in college there are going to be so many people around us that in order to survive in that atmosphere we have to understand why sometimes other people do the things they do. We can't go into college not being tolerant of how other people behave and think. We have to have an open mind, because from what i've learned is that every fear has a reason behind it, every action is done for a reason. Nothing we do has no meaning to it. Some people have an intense fear of spiders, and for some of us that seems dumb because especially in Illinois spiders can't really hurt us. But that person probably had a bad expierence with them in their childhood or someone in their life probably inbeded in them that spiders are terrifying. I guess the reason Im putting this on my livejournal is because we all tend to be very intolerant to anything different than our own opinois. But the next time you open your mouth and call someone stupid for being scared of something or doing something in a different way, think about yourself. I know I have some fears that no one but me can really ever understand, and the moment someone calls is stupid i get pissed. So lets all try not to piss each other off anymore.
