Adapting.
Well, it's been a couple days since I've arrived and I'm understanding things more and more. Still, so many questions have yet to be answered and, by the sound of it, may never be answered. How and why was I brought here? Will I be able to return to my own world? What exists outside the four gates? So much mystery in this world.
Luckily, I've meet a few people who have been wonderfully helpful. A girl named Jenny was the first to explain how things work (it's thanks to her and someone named Timon that I'm able to use this journal as well as I can). Yuna, another girl transported here, is my new friend. Really...my only friend! She offered to be roommates with me. This is the first time anyone my age has been so kind to me! I hope we remain fast friends.
I saw on the map of this device that there's a library here! I'm going to head out and see it soon. I wonder if it will hold any more clues about Paixao? I somehow doubt it, but...just to be surrounded by books will soothe me and give me strength.
