Being a ninja at present is most intresting then there was the whole excitment of Halloween and now were into winter which I shall be dutyfully dressing up as Mrs. Klaus for the whole christmas season! *beams and sits with her tea*

[22:51] grannytaki: Granny: *nods approving and eats* Yes, well I thought a lot about a recipe to show you and I came up with well, jam tartlets because those are my all time favourites and steak and doughballs! ^_^~!

[23:04] grannytaki: Granny: *laughs lightly* Aww no no no no no, see he was trying to do good deads and I thought why not work here!

[23:07] grannytaki: Granny: I have no idea why, but he wants to change his ways so he wears a pink and green pinnie and works in a bakery! There's much amusement to be had here!

[23:10] grannytaki: Granny: You most certainly will, it's a sight for sore eyes alright!! *goes to various cupboard getting out the usual flour and water for the doughballs and the meat and gravy*
[23:11] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *smiles at the mental image, but watches the preperation for the recipe intently*
[23:23] grannytaki: Granny: Ok, *refers to the cookbook that she places for Gremio to see* now doughballs are very easy to make, there basically flour and water.
[23:24] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *nods, paying attention*
[23:27] grannytaki: Granny: All you have to do is.. *flips a pan of water onto a hob at a steady heat and slowly adds the flour* till it thickens.
[23:28] grannytaki: ((If this isn't actually how you make them am sorry a can only remember bits of my dad making them lol)
[23:28] Mip The Happy: ((heh, no probs. Whenever I do cooking RP with Gremio, I just look up his recipes and summarise them XD I'm actually an awful cook))

[23:38] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Ah, I see... *continues to watch*
[23:40] grannytaki: Granny: *times passes and it thickens till all the water has been absorbed* Here we are! *takes the pan to the table and plops the pile of dough onto a board* Okay if you kneed that I'll get the steak ready. Now because it's a beefy dish I choose a smoky wine to marinte it in.
[23:41] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *smiles* Ah, a good choice. That should bring out it's flavour well. *starts on the dough, kneading expertly*
[23:43] grannytaki: Granny: Preciesly, this is probably why this dish is so scrumptious because the steak has so much flavour and the doughballs are so bland it emphasies the flavour. *nods and starts to cook the steak and puts on another pan for the gravy* *notices the kneading* Ahhh such trained hands at that art!
[23:48] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs and looks flattered* Well, I tend to make my own bread, so I knead dough often.
[23:49] grannytaki: Granny: Bread eh? My what talent! Ever made banana bread?? *checks on the steak browning nicely whislt mixing up some gravy*
[23:50] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *shakes his head* I usually make brown or malt loaves.
[23:51] grannytaki: Granny: Ah *nods* the healthier option that figures that someone with such a love for sugar even makes a more unhealthier bread!!
[23:53] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs* So it's quite sweet?
[23:54] grannytaki: Granny: Well y'know I coat the banana's in sugar first, I've got to get my fixes somewhere!
[23:56] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Ah, I prefer savoury foods, myself. But I understand. *smiles*
[23:59] grannytaki: Granny: I was only jesting about the fix! ^_^~! As you can probably tell by my phases and opening a bakery at this age and hiring people for the funny side you can see I like my sense of humour. Savory is good too, I can make a mean cheese scone, perhaps you should give one a try once we're finsihed in here, *the gravy thickens and the steak sizzles* which I almost am! All you have to do now if roll the dough into balls!!!!!
[00:02] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *smiles* I will do. *rolls the dough quickly into balls, before handing them across*
[00:03] grannytaki: Granny: Fantastic! Now whilst these finish cooking you could make a start if you like! My this is fun!!!
[00:04] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *nods* What would you like me to show you first? Meat pies or gingerbread men?
[00:05] grannytaki: Granny: The sweeter! <33 The gingerbread men!
[00:07] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs* Okay, I'll get the ingredients... *pulls out of the cupboards some flour, salt, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, butter, sugar, eggs and treacle*
[00:08] grannytaki: Granny: Ah a cook/baker always knows there way around a kitchen no matter what! *highfives just for the sheer amusement*
[00:11] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *returns the highfive, laughing* Now we just need to measure all of this out... *hands Granny a piece of paper with the ingredients and their amounts written down*
[00:12] grannytaki: Granny: Sure! Split it, I'll do some and you do some? *checks the measurments*
[00:15] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *weighs out the flour, and salt before adding them to the same bowl, along with 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda and the relevant amount of teaspoons for each of the spices* Have you gotten the rest weighed out?
[00:16] grannytaki: Granny: *does all the neccesary things and hands them to Gremio in separate bowls* Indeed! Here we are!
[00:18] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Ah, thank you. Now then, the first thing we'll want to do is cream the butter and sugar until it's light and fluffy. Then we'll add the egg and the treacle and mix untill it's well combined. After that, we add the flour mixture gradually untill it's all mixed together. Would you like to do that? *smiles*
[00:19] grannytaki: Granny: Oh my!! Creaming is my most favourite part of baking!!! *bobs on the spot*
[00:20] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *hands across the bowls, before turning on the over to let it heat up*
[00:21] grannytaki: Granny: *begins to cream the flour and sugar taking time to make it even* *_*
[00:28] grannytaki: Granny: *finishes creaming and moves onto the treacle* Am I doing this right?
[00:30] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *has been watching the entire time to make sure all is good, and nods* You're doing it just right. You can't do that part too quickly, because otherwise it doesn't mix so well.
[00:31] grannytaki: Granny: *takes mental note* Okay, I'll make sure to do it slow then, I haven't worked with treacle much before so I don't want to ruin it.
[00:44] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Now, we need to let it sit for a little while, before rolling it out and cutting out gingerbread men. *smiles* While we wait, we can get the baking trays ready. *uses a little butter to grease over one of the trays*
[00:46] grannytaki: Granny: I'll do the other tray in a moment but firrrrrst~! *takes out steak and divides it and adds the doughballs and pours over the gravy* Have a taste! ^_^ *samples a little bit of them all* Mmmmm tender and the wine works great!
[00:50] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *does exactly as Granny does and samples a little bit of them all* Mmmm, delicious! The wine really improved it!
[00:51] grannytaki: Granny: Thanks! *starts greasing the other tray and then hands it to Gremio* Here sweetie!
[00:52] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *puts both trays side by side, pinches another bite of the other dish, before grabbing a rolling pin* The gingerbread dough should be ready now.
[00:53] grannytaki: Granny: Alrighty then! *follows gremio's lead and muches a little doughball whilst observing gremio closely*
[00:59] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *puts down a board, and begins to roll out the gingerbread slowly untill it's about half an inch thick all the way across* Now we just need to cut out the gingerbread men, put them on the trays to bake, and then bake them. *smiles* You can do that, if you want.
[01:00] grannytaki: Granny well you should help! *_* The mixture smells good though! *starts to cut the men out*
[01:02] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *helps to cut the men out, using as much of the dough as possible, before placing the unbaked gingerbread men on the trays to be baked* I've already preheated the oven, so these shouldn't take too long.
[01:03] grannytaki: Granny: Oh goodie! They look great! We should give then gumdrop buttons! ^_^
[01:04] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *nods* You can ice them and decorate them however you want. *smiles* The last set I did was a set of gingerbread zombies for halloween. I think Cecile got the wrong idea, though...
[01:05] grannytaki: Granny: Oh yeah, she certainly did! *laughs* Decoration is one of my favourite parts I took a whole class on it when I was little.

[01:11] Mip The Happy: Gremio: I did, but I missed the party. I was dressed as a mad scientist, and was giving out the gingerbread zombies to the trick or treating kids who came to the castle from the neighbouring villages... *smiles*

[23:04] grannytaki: Granny: *laughs lightly* Aww no no no no no, see he was trying to do good deads and I thought why not work here!

[23:07] grannytaki: Granny: I have no idea why, but he wants to change his ways so he wears a pink and green pinnie and works in a bakery! There's much amusement to be had here!
[23:09] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs gently* I'll have to see that sometime!
[23:10] grannytaki: Granny: You most certainly will, it's a sight for sore eyes alright!! *goes to various cupboard getting out the usual flour and water for the doughballs and the meat and gravy*
[23:11] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *smiles at the mental image, but watches the preperation for the recipe intently*
[23:23] grannytaki: Granny: Ok, *refers to the cookbook that she places for Gremio to see* now doughballs are very easy to make, there basically flour and water.
[23:24] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *nods, paying attention*
[23:27] grannytaki: Granny: All you have to do is.. *flips a pan of water onto a hob at a steady heat and slowly adds the flour* till it thickens.
[23:28] grannytaki: ((If this isn't actually how you make them am sorry a can only remember bits of my dad making them lol)
[23:28] Mip The Happy: ((heh, no probs. Whenever I do cooking RP with Gremio, I just look up his recipes and summarise them XD I'm actually an awful cook))

[23:38] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Ah, I see... *continues to watch*
[23:40] grannytaki: Granny: *times passes and it thickens till all the water has been absorbed* Here we are! *takes the pan to the table and plops the pile of dough onto a board* Okay if you kneed that I'll get the steak ready. Now because it's a beefy dish I choose a smoky wine to marinte it in.
[23:41] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *smiles* Ah, a good choice. That should bring out it's flavour well. *starts on the dough, kneading expertly*
[23:43] grannytaki: Granny: Preciesly, this is probably why this dish is so scrumptious because the steak has so much flavour and the doughballs are so bland it emphasies the flavour. *nods and starts to cook the steak and puts on another pan for the gravy* *notices the kneading* Ahhh such trained hands at that art!
[23:48] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs and looks flattered* Well, I tend to make my own bread, so I knead dough often.
[23:49] grannytaki: Granny: Bread eh? My what talent! Ever made banana bread?? *checks on the steak browning nicely whislt mixing up some gravy*
[23:50] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *shakes his head* I usually make brown or malt loaves.
[23:51] grannytaki: Granny: Ah *nods* the healthier option that figures that someone with such a love for sugar even makes a more unhealthier bread!!
[23:53] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs* So it's quite sweet?
[23:54] grannytaki: Granny: Well y'know I coat the banana's in sugar first, I've got to get my fixes somewhere!
[23:56] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Ah, I prefer savoury foods, myself. But I understand. *smiles*
[23:59] grannytaki: Granny: I was only jesting about the fix! ^_^~! As you can probably tell by my phases and opening a bakery at this age and hiring people for the funny side you can see I like my sense of humour. Savory is good too, I can make a mean cheese scone, perhaps you should give one a try once we're finsihed in here, *the gravy thickens and the steak sizzles* which I almost am! All you have to do now if roll the dough into balls!!!!!

[00:03] grannytaki: Granny: Fantastic! Now whilst these finish cooking you could make a start if you like! My this is fun!!!
[00:04] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *nods* What would you like me to show you first? Meat pies or gingerbread men?
[00:05] grannytaki: Granny: The sweeter! <33 The gingerbread men!
[00:07] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *laughs* Okay, I'll get the ingredients... *pulls out of the cupboards some flour, salt, baking soda, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, butter, sugar, eggs and treacle*
[00:08] grannytaki: Granny: Ah a cook/baker always knows there way around a kitchen no matter what! *highfives just for the sheer amusement*
[00:11] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *returns the highfive, laughing* Now we just need to measure all of this out... *hands Granny a piece of paper with the ingredients and their amounts written down*
[00:12] grannytaki: Granny: Sure! Split it, I'll do some and you do some? *checks the measurments*
[00:15] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *weighs out the flour, and salt before adding them to the same bowl, along with 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda and the relevant amount of teaspoons for each of the spices* Have you gotten the rest weighed out?
[00:16] grannytaki: Granny: *does all the neccesary things and hands them to Gremio in separate bowls* Indeed! Here we are!
[00:18] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Ah, thank you. Now then, the first thing we'll want to do is cream the butter and sugar until it's light and fluffy. Then we'll add the egg and the treacle and mix untill it's well combined. After that, we add the flour mixture gradually untill it's all mixed together. Would you like to do that? *smiles*
[00:19] grannytaki: Granny: Oh my!! Creaming is my most favourite part of baking!!! *bobs on the spot*
[00:20] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *hands across the bowls, before turning on the over to let it heat up*
[00:21] grannytaki: Granny: *begins to cream the flour and sugar taking time to make it even* *_*
[00:28] grannytaki: Granny: *finishes creaming and moves onto the treacle* Am I doing this right?
[00:30] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *has been watching the entire time to make sure all is good, and nods* You're doing it just right. You can't do that part too quickly, because otherwise it doesn't mix so well.
[00:31] grannytaki: Granny: *takes mental note* Okay, I'll make sure to do it slow then, I haven't worked with treacle much before so I don't want to ruin it.
[00:44] Mip The Happy: Gremio: Now, we need to let it sit for a little while, before rolling it out and cutting out gingerbread men. *smiles* While we wait, we can get the baking trays ready. *uses a little butter to grease over one of the trays*
[00:46] grannytaki: Granny: I'll do the other tray in a moment but firrrrrst~! *takes out steak and divides it and adds the doughballs and pours over the gravy* Have a taste! ^_^ *samples a little bit of them all* Mmmmm tender and the wine works great!
[00:50] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *does exactly as Granny does and samples a little bit of them all* Mmmm, delicious! The wine really improved it!
[00:51] grannytaki: Granny: Thanks! *starts greasing the other tray and then hands it to Gremio* Here sweetie!
[00:52] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *puts both trays side by side, pinches another bite of the other dish, before grabbing a rolling pin* The gingerbread dough should be ready now.
[00:53] grannytaki: Granny: Alrighty then! *follows gremio's lead and muches a little doughball whilst observing gremio closely*
[00:59] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *puts down a board, and begins to roll out the gingerbread slowly untill it's about half an inch thick all the way across* Now we just need to cut out the gingerbread men, put them on the trays to bake, and then bake them. *smiles* You can do that, if you want.
[01:00] grannytaki: Granny well you should help! *_* The mixture smells good though! *starts to cut the men out*
[01:02] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *helps to cut the men out, using as much of the dough as possible, before placing the unbaked gingerbread men on the trays to be baked* I've already preheated the oven, so these shouldn't take too long.
[01:03] grannytaki: Granny: Oh goodie! They look great! We should give then gumdrop buttons! ^_^
[01:04] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *nods* You can ice them and decorate them however you want. *smiles* The last set I did was a set of gingerbread zombies for halloween. I think Cecile got the wrong idea, though...
[01:05] grannytaki: Granny: Oh yeah, she certainly did! *laughs* Decoration is one of my favourite parts I took a whole class on it when I was little.
[01:09] Mip The Happy: Gremio: *smiles, puts on oven gloves and puts both trays of gingerbread men in the oven* Those should be done in about 10 minutes...

[01:11] Mip The Happy: Gremio: I did, but I missed the party. I was dressed as a mad scientist, and was giving out the gingerbread zombies to the trick or treating kids who came to the castle from the neighbouring villages... *smiles*
[01:12] grannytaki: Granny: I dressed up as a jam tartlet and decorated the bakery and I let the people come to me! Hee hee, your costume sounds great.
