Waiting with baited breath
Well, I had a nice weekend, though it was a bit busy. Friday took off work to go to my sister's college graudation. I still can't believe that my little sister is now a college graduate. It just blows my mind and makes me feel older than I already do just thinking about that fact that I will be 27 next month.
Saturday I went water skiing with grandpa, uncle Lanny and my cousin Justin. That was fun, and it does seem like it's just like riding a bike. Once you do it, you never forget even after YEARS if not having done it. It was a lot of fun, and I'm glad I got to spend time with people I don't see a whole these days. And, I was smart and put on tons and tons of sunscreen so no sunburn! However, all the muscles in my upper back, through my shoulders and down to my elbows is not very happy with my today. But, oh well.
Today, spent Mother's Day over in Tampa with mom, my sister, and mom's parents, and then Aunt Elaine came over later in the afternoon. It was good to see them. Grandpa isn't doing so well health wise, so it's better to spend as much time with him as possible. Mom thinks he's not going to be around much longer.
Tomorrow could be the beginning of a very bad week. I get to work with one of my favorite Judge's tomorrow and Tuesday and I'm excited about that. But, there is also a very good possibilty that after Wednesday I will no longer be emoployed. Tomorrow they start the round of 50 lay offs. And I have no idea if I'm going or not. If I make it through Wedensday, then I'll have to wait another week to see if I get furloughed. I have a feeling that if I make it through Wednesday, I won't make it through the first round of furloughs. Of course, no one knows because the people that do know aren't telling anyone. Needless to say, I have all my stuff packed and if I can at least make it through lunch tomorrow, I'm putting all my stuff in my car. Just in case. I just hate this not knowing thing. It's most stressful than the whole being unemployed thing. Just tell me!
