Thoughts on the GazettE's DIM album

I just copied and pasted what i said on Last.fm (lazy like that, yo!)

I love the band to death, and I like their sound now, but i still sorta miss the old Gazette sound... ya know? HEADACHE MAN is one of their new songs that has more of their old sound to it, so its no wonder i love it so much. XD
DIM is a good album musically and most Gaze fans

this is very true~!
Gazette started when the band members were actually quite young, so of course there has to be change expected in Ruki's voice and their music as a while. ^^ i definitely agree with you on that.

im saying that if/when a band's sound changes, there will always be fans that either take a while to like the change or they cant accept it at all and end up hating the band. which is sad... D:

and of course there are also fans that just so happened to like older Gazette and newer Gazette about the same~ XD but thats not because they are more "loyal". its just because their newer and older sound both just to happened to appeal to them and their individual music tastes.

when it comes down to it, its all about one's own music tastes.
if a band changes their sound, its natural to lose a few fans, but you may gain some new ones too~ ^^

the only problem i have is when people go around bashing the band they use to like. its okay to blog about it and rant about it privately or with your friends, but i dont think people should be going to the band's myspace or last.fm page and being disrespectful to the band and their music.

there is a big difference between an adult comment like this:
"im not sure i like this particular album by them, but their older stuff is awesome, i love it~ :D"

and a immature flame like this:
"OMG I HATE HOW STUPID THEY SOUND NOW!!!111!!11! THEY SUCK!!!!@!@#"

you know..~? XD;;
to me, that is what distinguishes a TRUE fan or not. :3
