I didn't know if we were going to save the girl in my dream, but I knew that we were going to save a brunette. I couldn't see Doyle's visions and though I knew that they worked, a description of the brunette in question and in danger, provided to me by Doyle, wasn't enough for me to know for sure if it was herFor weeks, ever since the souling, I

I tried to fight one off. The other two were laughing at me. That seriously pissed me off. "Hey, don't think I'm not allowed to defend myself and fight back!" I yelled at all three. Yeah, I was scared, but I didn't have to let them know that, right? "Do you hear me!?" The vampire growled and came toward me. I screamed and started to run down the alley.
Out of nowhere these two guys come running down the alley. I punched the one vampire in the face. "Wow, I thought that would hurt." I smiled. The vampire looked up at me and pushed me up against the wall. "Look, let's put this behind us. I'm sorry I hit you. C-Can you leave me alone now?" Damn, that didn't work. Luckily, for me the one guy, who was way cute killed the two vampires. Our eyes connected for a moment. The last vampire, kicked him in the face. My mouth fell to the floor. Tall and mysterious got up and put a stake through the vampire's heart. It burst into dust. I flinched.
He approached me and I held my hand out, stopping his movement. "Okay, what the hell just happened? Who are you and what were they? I know they were vampires, but why were they following me?"

Great, I'm getting my brains kicked in, nearly got bit, and tall, dark and vampire is getting all of the girls attentions.
It struck me just how young dat she really was. I had no idea why I was receiving a vision about this girl, but fer some reason, I was, and this was the girl dat Rory had been seeing in his visions, which only proved the she was even more special.
I didn't know where we would go from here, but I was sure dat the girl had a life, and dat Rory was gonna want tuh keep her close tuh him and dat the two things would inevitably headbutt, and there would be some kind of stalemate.
She was so young, and he wa sso old, even though he didn't look it. Anudder thing dat we had to talk about here, if this girl minded dat sort of thing, or if she believed in destiny. I decided tuh keep out of this one. The two of them could figure this one out. Somehow, I got the impression dat we would be here in San Francisco fer a little while. I just hoped dat I didn't get hit on every time I went intuh a bar by men.

"Okay, what the hell just happened? Who are you and what were they? I know they were vampires, but why were they following me?"
"You...you know that they were vampires?"
I found it hard to talk around her. You wouldn't think that as a human, three centuries ago, that I was a womanizer, nor that I had been around a beautiful woman for over two centuries, everyday, if you saw the way that I was talking to her.
I looked over at Doyle and he seemed to be giving us space.
She then put her hands on her hips as if she wanted answers. "Television. You know what vampires are from watching television or possibly reading books?"
I could tell that she was intrigued with my accent, and I was smitten wih all of her. She was very young, probably not even eighteen, if seventeen, yet, but she was stunning and was clearly not afraid of the dark. I had seen the way that she had tried to fight them off and most humans didn't do that.
"My name is Rory, and I'm going to be honest with you, not to freak you out too much, but it's all that I can do at a moment like this. My friend Doyle here receives visions about important people in trouble, and he had a vision of you. I help him with the dangerous aspects, because like the bad men trying to kill you just now, I'm also a vampire...I'm just a lot stronger then the three of them were, and I have a soul, which means that I fight for good, and save people. Make no mistake, though...I didn't know her name...they were trying to kill you. Male vampires are especially attracted to biting beautiful women, and San Francisco isn't the most heavily populated vampire city, but it does have a lot of them."
I stared into her eyes. She had me captivated and I didn't even know her name. I knew that I wasn't leaving her, though, and that Doyle had better get cozy with the idea of staying here if we had to.

"Of course I knew they were vampires. I'm not that young." Who did this guy think I was? It's not like I was born yesterday. He kept looking at me. I couldn't help but stare back at him. There was something in his eyes. Something honest. Not to mention, he was gorgeous.
"Television. You know what vampires are from watching television or possibly reading books?"
I smiled. His accent was awesome. I loved accents. "Well, you can say I've seen some vampires on TV, but I think the fangs gave it away with those guys you so easily killed. It's kinda hard to miss the teeth, you know?"

I slowly backed away from him. He moved in closer. I looked over at his friend, Doyle. He smiled at me. "He had a vision of me in danger? That's so weird. Why me? I mean, out of millions of people." I looked back at Rory. There was something that told me to trust him. "A-A vampire with a soul? Is that even possible? I've never heard of that before." He mentioned that vampires are attracted to beautiful women.
"So, is that it? You save me and then go home? Do you guys live here in San Francisco?" I pushed a strand of my hair behind my ear. "My name is Amanda. I mean, if you wanted to know. Amanda Beckham." His eyes sparkled. I'm pretty sure my eyes sparkled back.

Tell the girl the whole terrible story, Rory, why don't you? I thought to myself, knowing that this was going to be a saga, knowing his passion fer this girl.
"He had a vision of me in danger? That's so weird. Why me? I mean, out of millions of people."
I looked at Rory, knowing dat we both knew dat something strange was going on here.
"So, is that it? You save me and then go home? Do you guys live here in San Francisco?"
Dat one was fer Rory to answer, but I had the strange sensation that we were going to be here fer a while.

Doyl;e and I shared a look. This wasn't an easy one to answer, but since neither of us bloody well knew the answer, it wasn't like I was lying to her, because I could sense that I would never lie to her.
"A-A vampire with a soul? Is that even possible? I've never heard of that before."
"I'm the only one in the world as far as I know, and to explain how I got it to you, would just make you crazy..."
"So, is that it? You save me and then go home? Do you guys live here in San Francisco?"
I shook my hea,d though I didn't mean to so vehemently. I was telling her that I was staying near her without words, because I knew that it was my job to protect her, or to love her, and that there was a deeper meaning to it all.
"My name is Amanda. I mean, if you wanted to know. Amanda Beckham."
It was such a beautiful, British name.
"Let's just get you home, Amanda, and it's nice to meet you, by the by, and while we walk, I'll explain what I can to you..."
She looked up at me. I wasn't going to tell her that I was dreaming about her, seeing her in different poses for reasons that were beyond my control, in different outfits, and in all of them, her beauty transfixed me.
"We live in Los Angeles, Amanda, but we don't know why we received the vision of you...or why Doyle did. All that we know is that he gets them to protect innocent people from demon attacks, but he doesn't get them, I don't bloody imagine, for every demon attack on an innocent human. So, it could mean that you were meant to be important in this world..."
I found my arms rubbing against hers as we walked and Doyle looked left out of the equation, like he was being ignored. Too bloody bad. I had envisioned this girl for weeks and now I had found her and wasn't letting anyone hurt her.
