STERLING HEIGHTS --- BURR ELEMENTARY
I have been thinking a lot about Sterling Heights. The one place where I grew up. The one place where I had all of my best friends by my side. I get homesick. I will always consider that place my home. I miss those Burr Elementary days. The days wherr it didn't matter what you wore or how you looked. It didn't matter who you hung out with. You just knew everyone and everyone knew you. Everyone was friends somehow. I miss recess... outdoor or indoor. Remember? Each year there was always THE SPORT...from tag to soccer to football to four square to kickball to just swinging on the swingset. And even though everyone seemed to be bummed whenever they announced it was indoor recess...it always turned out to be a fun recess. we hung out in our little crew. (you know who you are) gossiped.. played telephone...truth or dare...sixth grade it was uno. haha... My Friends... Jenni, Katie, Kelly, Daina, Katie, Stacey, Jackie, Tori, Dougie, Ahmad, Mitch, Chris, John, Andre, Garrett....even though we had our fights... A LOT... we were all the best of friends. Remember...when we were in second and third grade and we used to play cherry drop on the monkey bars!? Good times. I would have to say the funniest moment was when Jenni...lol.. got stuck on the monkey bars... I won't get into detail. But everytime I think about it... it cracks me up. Remember the whole boyfriend and girlfriend thing? Stacey said "Whoever started this whole boyfriend girlfriend thing was crazy!" ... lol well that was me. Me and Mitch. Katie and Chris. Brittany and Andre. Me and Andre. Katie and Doug. Jenni and Chris. Tori and Mitch. We always switched around. It wasn't even a real relationship. lol... But it was fun to say you had a boyfriend. And we would talk about them at our sleepovers. Remember the sleepover at Stacey's where we stayed up for the longest time and promised eachother we wouldn't go out with anyone of them!? That didn't last very long. Remember the ABC Assembilies? Everyone got excited for the awards? Those were fun. Remember the talent show!? Unforgettable. Sixth grade had to be the best one. Remember sixth grade? The best year of our lives! The last year at Burr. Full of excitement and it was definitely fun fun fun fun fun! Remember the teachers? From Mrs. Rizzo to Mrs. Tyson...to Mr. slater and Mrs. allington. Good times. Remember LATCH KEY...my second home. A great place. Remember the field trips. Sixth grade...Penna's!? Sitting in the back and playing cards and singing and stuff.... good times. Remember the media center...mr vaughn.. who could forget him!? YOU! haha katie!! And Remember Graduation? Giving my speech..seeing that video. Knowing that was the last time we would be at Burr Elementary together. Sterling Heights...my home always and forever. I love everyone there and I miss you! We definitely grew up together and taught eachother so many things. No one would understand the times we had at Burr Elementary... nobody. <3
