I never know how to start this shit. Let’s see. Work is going good. I’m still enjoying it for the most part. The kids have taught me some really cool stuff, like how to play Spades, and how to crochet, and secret handshakes. Haha. I got to tour the local resource recovery plant with them. Apparently all the garbage in Ames is dumped in a big building and bulldozers sort it and then recycle stuff and burn some of the shit for energy. It was kinda stinky but I could have sat and watched those bulldozers smash couches and break shit for hours. Plus, since I am a tree huggin hippy I like to know they are making an effort to reduce waste put into the landfills.

Also, I am now medication manager certified. I can dole out of the drugs. I also know the proper way to give an anal suppository, so now I can do it to Brent for real instead of just for fun like we used to do. I am in the process of being MANDT certified. I have no idea what that stands for. It is how to de-escalate a violent client and if necessary, how to properly restrain them. I guess you can’t just choke them out. Who knew? I can’t wait to learn how to restrain. I’m gonna practice on people at bars. Not even people who are fighting, just random people. Should make for good conversation.

Things in Ames are good. I met some random people at a bar that I knew from Myspace and partied with them til like 5am. I went to a crazy red neck bar in a nearby town called “The Gigglin Goat” to watch my friend Scott’s MMA fight (kinda like ultimate fighting). He won, it was awesome. And Bloody. And gross. Kent got his Jeep Wrangler finally. Its great to cruise around with the windows off. We have only got to take the top off once so far but it was fun. Its so nice and pimped out. Well, not like ghetto pimped out. Just, fixed up I guess.

Sweet movies I have seen lately:

The new “Hairspray”. It was fantastic. Yea it’s a musical and its PG, but it was so entertaining. That chubby girl can rock it. She gives me hope, lol. The songs were great and who doesn’t want to see John Travolta in drag dancing with Christopher Walken.

Lost: I usually hate getting all enthralled with TV shows because I can never keep up with them or watch the 1st few episodes on DVD and get distracted and forget about them. However, this show is fucking fantabulous. Kent and I can go through 5 episodes in a night. We are almost done with the first season cause we just started. But I can’t wait to see what happens because I had never even seen one episode before.

This Filthy World: It’s John Waters talking about his life, career, his movies, and being fucked up. It was amazing. I have always liked John Waters’ movies, but this guy is seriously my hero. He’s such a creep and he embraces it. And he’s fucking hilarious. If you like any of his movies you should see this.

And now to rave about my AWESOME weekend. On Thursday I traveled to LaSalle and dumped off Charles and headed to Rockford. And I got a tattoo from Josh. It is awesome. I was nervous as hell and felt like barfing before. BUT, I didn’t even cry or whine. I took it like a man, er, woman. I have always said I didn’t want a tattoo, but in the last few months I have really wanted to get something done for my mom. So I got “RIP Mother” with two hearts tattooed on my right wrist. It looks sweet and Josh did an excellent job. He gave me exactly what I wanted. Muchas Gracias Amigo!!!! After that we went to Nippons and had way too much sushi and alcohol. Great times ensued.

Friday we packed up and headed to UW Madison to see Pat McCurdy again. Riding in the back of the Jeep with the windows and back off was so relaxing. Jammin out to good music and eating beef Jerky. I don’t know why but lately I love beef jerky. Gross. I also saw a tour bus with some dudes that I’m sure were famous. They waved at me. I’m sure they were famous. Anway, got to the Terrace at the Student union around 4pm and proceeded to drink and play card games for the next 6 or more hours. In the 90 degree weather with the sun blazing on us. I got a tan. Dammit, I hate being tan. I also ate delicious Wisconsin brats. Mmm…  Anyway, after Mike projectile vomited, I ended up finishing the pitchers myself. Haha. Pat was amazing as usual. He played the greats such as “I wanna ruin my life tonight”, “The fuck buddy song”, “Sex and Beer”, “Tribute to the 90’s”. I just love going to his shows because EVERYONE dances and sings along. Its awesome. Some random dudes decided to dance on our table. It was great. And he is so nice. You ask him to take a picture and he says “Absolutely” and comes right over. Can’t wait for next year. We are already planning Halloween on State St. at UW Madison again. It’s going to be amazing.

The next day we had the famous burgers at “Dotty Dumplings Dowry” and headed home. I went shopping in Rockford and then had family dinner with the Iversons. I can actually be at their house now and not feel weird. It only took 4 years. HAHA. Well, I did feel weird when Mama I. told me I left my dirty underpants on Klark’s (Kent’s 18yr old bro) floor and he freaked out. Oh well. After dinner I headed back to LaSalle to hang out with Shibby Libby. I was feeling mighty poor, physically and financially, and I said I would go out and not drink. I did well the first hour or so. Sipping a soda and playing the touch screen trivia at the Pub. It all went down hill from there. Shaun, Kristin, Denny, and Scott Kalina showed up and the next thing I know Im drunk again. We headed to Machelle’s and I danced like a fool with Libby and Denny. It was awesome good times. I know I had some interesting conversations with people, but I have no idea what they were about. We closed out the bars. I went home and passed out on my aunt’s couch.

Sunday I felt like even worse shit than I did Saturday morning. I went bra shopping with my aunt, so exciting. I had dinner with my aunt and grandma. I waited until I was leaving to point out my tattoo to my grandma because I figured she would shit bricks. She just looked like she was gonna cry and said “that ones not so bad. At least its not a big dragon on your ass”. I think she was touched that it was for my mom. Otherwise I would have gotten a 2 hour lecture on how I desecrated my body. Anywho, the drive home was HELL. But, It was so worth it. I hadn’t been home in 2 months and I had an awesome time. I wish I could get together with more people when I’m home but there just isn’t time.

Among other fun things I did while in town, I had lunch with my friend from my old job at our favorite Chinese restaurant. Denise is like 46 but she’s cool as hell and we used to eat lunch together all the time when I worked at YSB and we would bitch about men and work. It was good to catch up with her.  Among the not so fun things I did while in town, I visited my mom’s grave. I hadn’t been there in so long. I feel like a bad person for never going. Its not that I forget, it’s that I don’t want to. It’s not that I can’t handle it, it’s that her grave is right by the road and I don’t like standing out there crying and talking to the ground while truckers drive by and stare at me. I did it though. It was her birthday on Saturday. It feels weird to think that she would be 52. I can’t even picture what she would look like at 52. Maybe its better that the last time I remember her she is young and healthy and beautiful and not old and grey. Not that 52 is like decrepit, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, I have pictures of all the fun stuff I did this weekend. I will put them up in my next blog. I hope I can get it up soon but that depends on Kent. And we all know what a slacker he is. Speaking of old and decrepit, Kent will be 26 on Friday. That’s like almost 30. Gross, I can’t be with an old man. Haha. Too bad I have to work all weekend. OH OH OH, Sunday, Libby is FINALLY coming to visit me!!!! On Monday we are going to see 311 in Des Moines. I haven’t seen them since 311 Day ’06. I’m pumped. We are gonna party hearty on Sunday. It should be a blast. Ok, is this damn blog long enough. Damn, I sure know how to jibber jabber. Alright, pics soon. Im done.
