Oh hey, new york
So, tomorrow I move to ....the Bronx! Sucks that I cant afford to live in manhatten or at least Brooklyn. But i'll be working in Times Square every day, so that will be neat....like the heart of Times Square, where MTV does TRL. It's pretty unreal.
I think I will adjust well to the culture shock. I was never overwhelmed by Boston or Providence, not at all. Although NYC is a whole 'nother story, but I will adapt.
My one fear is being completly lonely. I get homesick reaaaaal quick and I know the first week all I will be doing is crying. So uh, come visit, please?
I decided not to work an additional job while i'm there....I just need to process this loan real quick to start paying rent/bills. I've worked 2 jobs, ridiculous amounts my whole life...so I want to just experience MTV/Spike , the city, and everything else while i'm there. I'm already in ridiculous amounts of debt I will never be able to pay back, so whats another 10 grand, right? I want the weekends off too, to explore the city, come home if I need it, etc.
I guess i'll be living with 6 guys in a 3 story apartment, haha. Should be a sitcom, at least I hope so. I hope that they are decent guys who will look at me as the scared little sister....but we'll see.
My room is real real real tiny...enough for a single bed, and that is about it!! They said they'd give me the closet in the hall outside of my door.....so thats good...I hope I have a window...unless its scary outside, then nevermind.
I dont know how I will support my coffee habit. Its a huuuuge comfort of mine, so I bought some coffee from Mel Diva (before the closed foreverrrr this past Saturday...kinda sad, whole 'nother story). Now I just need a coffee pot and stuff...
Pete said he'll be coming to visit me and we'll see eachother a lot while i'm gone. Which is incredible....his visits are what will keep me going. Since rent is so cheap and I figured my loan to be much much much more than I needed, when he comes we'll get a hotel in times square ...should be real fun.
I need to live up these last 4 months before I graduate........graduate...damn.
What if I get a job offer from spike?? Do i take it and move to the city??? Ughh too much to think about.....too much to think about.
