so much stuff
so i went home this weekend for the first time since school started back in august. i was really hoping that it would be more fun/interesting. i got to spend time with my youngest sister, rebekah, which was worth it. but i'd say that was the best part of the weekend. both road trips (there and back) i wasn't feeling so well, so that really put a damper on that part of the weekend. :S
kyle left for his place on thursday. i missed him :( then i left friday for my place with ashley and alyssa. the trip was long. with a lot of traffic. we were all happy to be home. i went to look for a job. found none. i came home from that to eat dinner with my family. the same old sausage pizza and BBQ chicken pizza. and salad. and we watched old home videos from 1998. i was eleven then. it was pretty funny to watch--i was such a bossy little brat. :S i used to write "plays" and i would make my brothers and sisters perform them. in '98, we pulled off what was probably our best performance. it was the Christmas story. with the angels and mary and joseph and everything lol i even got my 4 yr old sister to play the angel and our next door neighbor, sam slowiak, to play mary. my mom still tells me it was a huge hit. and so do all the audience members (fellow servers at my church service and grade level from willow creek's k/1 rooms!!--there were probably 15 people there minimum lol). anyways, it was fun to hear the angel say "jofus" instead of joseph again. haha.
oh. and i hit the piano--almost first thing when i got home. i missed playing the piano so bad lol it's crazy. i even brought all my piano music back here so that i can go downstairs and play in the lounge when i want to. :D yay! i need to start warming up so that i can learn my xmas songs again and play them for the fam when we're all together again :)
on saturday, i went ice skating with my little sister, rebekah. for about an hour and a half. i'll tell you-->my feet, back, neck, and whole body was sore by the end of that! lol i don't fall very often, but it's really a different feeling to ice skate in comparisson to roller blading. :S we had fun though, and that's what mattered. she's on her way to being an amazing ice skater. i really want her to do well in skating--i always wanted to stick with it, but i didn't have the guts. :(
after ice skating, we went to see ZATHURA, a movie that is like jumanji, but is in outer space. pretty interesting. better than i thought it was going to be :) anyways, we went there with the whole family, then we went to portillo's for dinner. yum :)
i only slept about 2 hrs that night though. i didn't feel well at all :( and the loud wind wasn't helping any. i had to get up at 6 am to start packing and getting ready to go, so that i could go to church with the fam.
it was fun seeing people again at church. i think every one of the people i'd known before came up to me and told me they loved my hair or that i looked great or gorgeous or something along those lines. really a lifter in my day! it was good to see them again though :)
some man proposed to his future wife during church today. i felt bad for the lady. i don't ever want to be proposed to in that way. as i told kyle, if a guy ever proposed to me in that way, i'd just look around like everyone else and be all like "i wonder who he's proposing to?" lol i'd so do it. it'd treat the guy right. i'd be pissed as hell to be asked to spend the rest of my life with someone in front of hundreds of strangers. :S ew.
later, when ashley, alyssa and i were on our way home, we had to stop past ashley's house because she had forgotten to bring her books back home. about thirty seconds after pulling into ashley's driveway, the tree we had just driven under snaped and tipped over because of the strong wind! it was so scary to sit there and think that if we had been heading in just 30 seconds later than we did, we could've died. it was a huge tree, probably one that was taller than an average two-story house. crazy.
anyways, now i'm back home, and i got to see kyle today. :D i'd missed him sooooo much! i felt like i'd been away from him for weeks or months and it was almost weird to be touched again. like, omgosh--who's hugging me?!? lol or omgosh--who's holding my hand?!? it was crazy. i don't even want to think about what it might be like after thanksgiving, xmas, or SUMMER breaks :'( that'll just be torture. hopefully, he'll decide that he likes me enough to stick around and not fool around with other chicks... *wishing*
well, it's gettin late. it's 2:30 am and i'm tired.
just a reminder for myself: to write about why rebekah is someone i admire and look up to.
