Well,
nochenne nudged me to give an update, so here it is. I suppose the reason I haven't updated in so long is because I kept hoping to have something to update with. Not that nothing has been going on with my life, but as a member of the HP fanfic community, I was hoping to complete a piece of art or a piece of writing and update with that. Sadly, neither has happened. Several stories are well in progress, at over 10 pages each, and several drawings have been completed, but none are finished to the point of posting. Of course, I hope that I will be able to do so before July 20th, but I'm not counting on it.
So I guess my update will be the things that kept me from finishing these things:
November 2006 - work trip to San Antonio - good but very busy. Since I was heavily involved in the event planning, I had to be up at 6am every day of the trip and working until 11pm at night - not much sightseeing in between. Fortunately, I had a better work trip to San Antonio a few months prior.
December 2006 - nonstop houseguests. I am not a fan of visitors and am even less so after having several distant relatives and acquaintances visit for 3 weeks straight in December.
February 2007 - Terrible, heartwrenching, life changing news at work which is still affecting daily life at my office (and no, this does not involve death, terror, or any other crime - just corporate and personal greed).
March 2007 - I received an award for my job performance in 2006 and won a trip to a rewards event at Walt Disney World. Very fun, very special.
April 2007 - more work related trouble and nonsense
May 2007 - Had my wisdom teeth removed. I only had 3 wisdom teeth and the actual extraction wasn't difficult but the aftermath was frightening. I couldn't open my mouth more than a fraction of an inch a week after the surgery and only partially recovered three weeks later. Now, I'm pretty much back to normal but my cheek muscles still hurt sometimes when I chew.
June 2007 - recovery from wisdom teeth removal and an amazing trip to Mackinac Island.
July 2007 - Saw Ratatouille last weekend - I highly recommend it. Also preparing for the Deathly Hallows launch! Right now I'm trying to decide between Borders and Barnes & Noble. Usually I go to Borders but the B&N is new to our neighborhood. Any preferences?
