I haven't been paid in too long, and I have so much to pay for. And I lost my insurance just in time for Christmas. I really like work though. My mom is upset because I didn't go out with her to get a Christmas tree yesterday in the freezing rain. We probably could have found one for free, it being Christmas eve, but it was so cold and wet out and I would've been the one who had to get out and wrestle a prickly, dripping, snow and ice covered tree into the back of the car. It would've been a mess. So we don't have a Christmas tree or even any decorations up because I'm apparently the only one who can bring things upstairs from the basement, or downstairs from the attic. I'll probably don my elf hat and do a bunch of cleaning and decorating to surprise everyone in when they wake up. For years now my family has depended on me to bring the holiday cheer. I'm usually the one who plays "Santa" for Christmas, decorates eggs for Easter, carves pumpkins for Halloween, etc. I kind of want to work on Christmas this year because I've already put in the effort there. There are Christmas crafts to finish, songs to sing, and they probably already have a tree. Maybe I can get away with working a few hours after I find a way to make things festive at home. I made Octavia's front yard festive with snow sculptures, but the wind and rain have probably destroyed them by now. Oh well. I had this great dream about a stag king. You can tell I've been involved with too many haunted houses and other dark theatrical productions because I described the magical mist in the dream as "mystical fog machines." I'll never live that one down.
