hey man, you dont know me and i cant seem to find a way to email you so i figured i would just post a comment here and hopefully you would reply. i was approached at eatons centre last week by a guy who talked to me for a small time then gave me his business card. upon further internet research i came across your blog here: http://beaucoup_fish.blogspot.com/. of particular interest was the Thursday, July 22, 2004 ''Cynicism kicks into gear''. So basically i am thinking the same thing that happened to me, happened to you. Coincidentally i go to WLU. (ps why do you hate it so much? different topic all together) Anyways i was wondering what actually happened with you and this guy. Was it a pyramid scam? the business card i was given also has the same 'affiliate of DIBG' and a toll free number on it as well. It has a pretty common business name: claiming 'smith enterprises' 'greg smith' independent consultant. can you tell me if this is real or fake? thanks alot. pls reply to this when you can.

basically, after I did my research, I decided to ignore the guy. I have no doubt in my mind that it indeed was a scam of some sort, as his company was affiliated with a well known pyramid scam company. I'd recommend that you also ignore the guy that solicited you b/c great jobs and opportunities don't usually happen by chance encounters. If it was a gigantic corporation, then I'd say you were lucky, but since it's not, I'd say that someone's just trying to make their $ back by taking you for a sucker.
As for WLU, there are many reasons I hate it, if you really want to know my reasons, let me know where I can contact you and I'll let you know. What year are you in, what program?
