Don't settle for less. And there is nothing wrong with you. Absolutly nothing. You have high standards and that is alright. You don't want you first kiss to be with some dud, nor do you want what happened to me. I started dating this guy because he was the first person to ever ask me out, even though I really didn't know who he was nor really that attracted too. One night we were walking through my neighborhood and mid-sentence he started kissing me. And it was awful. It felt like there was a plunger on my face; I was freaking out because I didn't know what to do and all of a sudden I hear "OUCH!" I had bitten him...really hard. There was blood. I freaked out started sobbing and ran into the woods and he had to chase after me while I was screaming about how I suck and was going to have to be a nun. Very traumatic. It was a verrrrry long time after that before I tried kissing another guy again. And for the longest time I thought that I was the problem. I have never encountered a kiss like the one that guy was trying to lay on me.
Bottom line, it will happen when it happens. There are many more important things in life than finding a guy, which I know is hard to believe since that's all the media portrays. I've known a lot of guys and girls who haven't had their first kiss until their 20's. I dated a guy who was a junior in college and I was his first kiss. When the right man comes along you will know it. Don't rush it like I did. And most often it will happen when you aren't even looking for it.
