A prophet? No, not directly. I simply used to relive the same years again and again, until I would be murdered and the circle would start anew. Naturally, this meant I knew how events in the future would play out, but I hadn't seen them in visions - I had lived through them and knew by experience.
I have visions ahead of time, and no matter -what- I do...they come true anyway. The only thing I can change is to try and be ready for it when it happens.
But I don't think I'll ever be ready to die. Even if it is coming soon.
I'm American, not Greek... [Becca's lack of education, let her show it to you.]
But...I see the whole thing, every little detail and everything. Most visions I can't remember later, so I draw them all, but...I know -that- one by /heart/.
I was talking about classical greek stories, which often involved prophecies that would come true, regardless of how people struggled against the prophecy.
So, you know the location it will happen in as well? Or the date?
Oh. I never read any Greek stories. I only speak English.
Yeah, I know all the everything except for the -exact- date. It's...more of a deadline sort of thing. I know that I'm already buried by my sixteenth birthday, and I know.........all the details of how I die. But where in the two months I've got left....I'm not sure.
They should be available in translation, I believe even the library in this place carries them. They are rather violent stories, though, like the proper versions of fairy tales are.
If you know the specific details except the date, shouldn't it be possible to arrange that it is impossible for you to meet the details within two months? For example, if you were to be shot in a desert, go to a forest hundreds of miles away from any desert. If you were to drown in a lake, stay in the city.
Of course, if someone is working to make your death come true, they can always abduct you. But that would be the only true possibility left.
In this town, there is a witch that can actually grant miracles. Not just small things - it is even within her power to reunite a person with their family, even though said family died a decade prior.
Of course, that'd break this girl, just like Ange got broken. Miracles aren't easy going, kihihi

And, I suppose, the capability to relive events after dying to them.

But...that's not how it works. Trying to change the future doesn't work. It happens -anyway-, and it makes you miserable for trying to.

So, you'd say that you'd need a miracle?
