No. Not in the same tone as George Costanza and the rest of the Seinfeld crew. I'm talking about serene music that is filled with emotional singing. Add a video that matches that feeling and you have something that can be watched\listened to over and over. Such is that case for some recent game trailers. I'm sure a lot of people remember the first Gears of War commercial. If you don't, let me refresh your memory.

I'm sure Gary Jules would have never thought his "MAD WORLD" would be used in a trailer/ad for a video game where guts are flying everywhere. BUT, that's the beauty of it.
That was then though. This is now. Recently I've heard 2 songs in particular that are very beautiful and serene. I just can't get them out of my head.
Sia's "Breathe Me" is a song that if you've never heard before will catch your attention right away and well...take your breath away. This especially rings true with this Prince of Persia trailer. A beautiful looking game with a beautiful song to go with it. BTW This game comes out tomorrow :)

The other song I am referring to is none other than Mirror's Edge's "Still Alive", performed by Lisa Miskovsky. The vocal version is not available in any trailers, but a fan made video is as good as any. It's another song with a sweet piano and of course great vocals. If you like it then you may want to try out the many remixes available for it. Great game btw~

I hope more games introduce me to some very talented singers and musicians in the future, but these 2 are definitely some great songs...especially for the Holiday season. It just feels right.
