Hi everybody! *hi Dr. Nick...*

ok, so I finally gave in and signed up for one of these live journal things like the rest of the world. In The Wire died for good, it seems, and even if it's not for good, I'm sick and tired of it happening. Not that I really write in my journal often enough for it to matter. But I decided to keep one going for random musing and ramblings, and to be able to read other people's journals, hehe. Let's see, what to update since the last time I wrote in one of these...

*things have gotten more boring at work, seeing as how everyone is gone to Italy (and/or elsewhere) for vacation. yawn.
*things at home are slowly moving ahead. My dad came by and finally cleared out most of his crap, and we're about to replace some of the carpeting so that the house can go on the market. My mom is having a hard time finding a decent townhouse in a decent neightborhood for a decent price. Mortgage qualifications have been going in our favor, sometimes for more than we expect. This makes my mom cling to the hope that she can buy out my dad and be able to stay in the house - knowing my dad, he's not gonna let that happen. Also, I go back to school in about two and a half weeks, so I'm not gonna be around to help mom move when she finally does, which sucks. She can't handle this kind of stuff on her own.
*ummmmm yea, I've officially solidified my position as the biggest nerd alive. Ever since the Hanson concert, I've become like, engulfed in the whole thing again. I'm not gonna say obsessed, because I do know where to draw the line. I've ordered some more stuff of theirs from the passed couple years when I stopped paying attention and missed out on. Their new live DVD from their acoustic tour last year (WHY didn't I go, again?!?!...) is amazing. They rock out so hard core, it's unbelievable. They did this awesome cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young's "Teach the Children", with just their harmony and acoustic guitar. Beauteous. There's also some behind the scenes footage of the acoustic tour, and also a documentary trailor to be released next year that follows the recording of their most recent album, Underneath. There's actually a point where they cuss out their former label over the phone - it's awesome. I can't wait till next year when it's released. HEY! - I warned you guys about how much of a nerd I am. I think I've even annoyed JQ, Jessica, and Cynthia about talking about Hanson so much - they just make me so happy, I forgot how wonderfully talented and amazing they are. I want to go to more of their shows. Come on, road trips are fun, and it'll be worth it!!
*two and a half weeks till Richmond again! I can't wait! And I'm also dreading having to go to class again, and the fact that I WASTED my entire summer, other than working and saving some money...I've barely seen or hung out with my friends - hell I havent talked to Mike in almost a month. Haven't seen him since the Sister Hazel concert, which was almost two months ago. Lauren went and has now come back from Italy. She invited me over to her house for dinner on Friday, that should be interesting. I don't know how to deal with her sometimes, but hopefully she'll be ok with her family, they're pretty cool. I miss April and Amanda and all those guys. Hopefully we'll get to escape to the beach or Kings Dominion or soemthing before we have to fall into the whole classes routine again.

Other than that, I really don't have much else to say, cuz I don't do anything but work [read: surf randomly on the internet] and sit on my ass at home. APO has started planning things and getting things rolling, I wish I could have been a part of it all. I finally hung out with Ryan for a bit a few weeks ago, he told be he was contemplating joining the APO chapter up at Towson U, where he's transferring to, so that's cool. Liz's sister got in touch with me about starting up a swim club at VCU, which I am totally looking forward to. So hopefully things will work out here at home and at school. I think I need to seriously buckle down with the school work this year, esp since I have to petition to get into the upper division in the spring. And I need keep my scholarship, which is on probation for the fall. Well, until next time kids.
