Chaos vs Order
I was looking through my LJ Friend's Pages and came across a post by ndrosen dealing with Chaos vs Order. Dahlia Lithwick wrote a delightfully insightful and humorous article called, "A Unified Theory of Muppet Types" on Slate.com.
Ms. Lithwick theorizes that "Every one of us is either a Chaos Muppet or an Order Muppet." Chaos Muppets are out-of-control and emotional (Cookie Monster, Ernie). Order Muppets tend to be neurotic and highly regimented responsible types (Kermit, Bert).
I think we're a mix of types. For example, my front yard was done in my order mode and my back yard is chaotic. I think I'm a 40:60 chaos to order mix. Does that make me a chaotic orderer?
Regardless, I gleaned one morsel of wisdom: "Too many Order Muppets means no cookies for anyone."
