Avengers Assemble!
Yesterday, J and I saw "The Avengers" movie. I loved it.
The superheroes looked like their comic books. Joss Whedon captured their behavior and dialogue perfectly. My favorite scene is when Capt America gives out the combat orders, "Hulk . . . smash!" Hulk's response is a coy little smile.
I had heard about the shawarma scene at the end, so we waited. The bizarre vignette after the credits showed the main cast chowing down on shawarma at Elat Burger in LA.

After the movie, J and I went to Yasmine's Café for lunch. I had the chicken shawarma and he had the lamb. We both had kunafa, a sweet cheese topped with nuts and cinnamon. This was J's first shawarma. He liked it. And, our lunch was more lively lunch than the movie. lol
