So we FINALLY got our group website assignment handed in and out of the way. I'm so glad that that's gone. Though I really think we're gonna get a naff grade for it, which will completely screw me over since I should be doing really well in that area.
Basically, trying to work in a group building a website with people who have no experience of websites WHATSOEVER is an absolute PISSTAKE.
And it's all made worse by the fact that another group has a really decent-looking piece of work. The members of the group are the smug, competitive kind as well; the ones who want to be the best at everything. I'd so love to be able to compete against them and create a website that completely blows theirs out of the water but I can't if I'm doing it in a group, coz my group members will just not be able to contribute on the same level as me.
It's really annoying.
And we have to do another group website assignment in another of our modules next year as well -_-;
That made my heart sink, I tell you.
Group website assignments should be banned, end of.
On another note, I'm free now for 3 weeks. Which means I'm getting the train home tomorrow for Christmas, w00t. I had a Java phase test (basically an exam) and it was easy; I left half an hour before it ended whilst everyone was still working on it.
Maybe if I somehow fail all the web development stuff at Uni, I can be a Java programmer instead... >_>
