Hello New Week!

Jun 01, 2010 01:15

This has gotta be the longest interval I had with a new blog post, so let me make it up by writing a longer one! It the end of the 3rd week of internship, and a while more and it will be a month. Everytime I say time flies, this particular friend of mine will tell me "Time Flies is an understatement", how true..

Anyway, Bingo!!

The place that we went for our Sunday brunch last week was at this place called Prive. I fell in this love with the place just immediately upon arrival, you gotta read on! We had to find our way there, and drove through a reasonably distanced straight road into Keppel Bay, but I would recommend only to go if you are driving actually. Am unsure if there is a bus going in and if not, its quite a distance walking!

We had 10 people that day, somewhat near full house, but at least majority of us could make it for a good'o'sunday afternoon. Reservations was made beforehand, and we were seated at this long table right outside the entrance of Prive and gosh, it was extremely warm. Leney made the reservations and unfortunately, she said that the staff told her over the phone that the inside seating couldn't have all of us together, (though i didn't enter, but from the way I looked inside the restaurant, it seems like its not true.....hmmm), so we had to agree to it for the first time since we badly wanna try out the place.

I guess everybody in Singapore is experiencing the same humidity around recently, so imagine us baking in the sun with an umbrella over us, hmmmm... one word, DRIP. And in fact, there were two HUGE standing fans outside, but they seemed like 10KM away, there wasn't even near to any mad-made breeze! :(

Ah, it would have been so prefect if the weather was a good one.

Anyway, I just have to make some comments about the weather because its extremely intolerable, don't you think so?!! Ugh.

Here are some pictures we all took!

Girls / Guys, you're in for a treat, Macho Men Man running around the area always!

A magnificent view of all the yachts!

At Prive, the view from the side of our long table.

And anyway, its pronounced as "PRI" - "VEY", not prive.

Here comes the long awaited glorious food!!!!!!

Fluffy butter pancakes with strawberries and banana, accompanied with honeycomb and maple syrup. Absolute yummy and its one of the best recommended all-day breakfast!

Love that we can choose wet/dry scrambled eggs, and though this one is pretty common around, but its of quite a reasonable standard. The scrambled eggs was good!

Eggs Benedict, another pretty common breakfast, but I thought this was pretty normal, I prefer the one at wild honey. This tastes a bit like Mac's egg muffin!

Caesar salad with smoked salmon, my all time favourite combi. it looks really plain here but its pretty light and tasty, good for a starter. But I still love coffee bean's caesar with smoked salmon instead.

The great thing about Prive is that the breakfast/brunch is till 5pm. You literally have the whole afternoon to enjoy a good time with your special ones! And another great thing is that not only breaky sets, they have DESSERTS!!!!

Imma sweet tooth!

Peanut butter chocolate cake. Im not a fan of peanut butter but this was surprisingly good to my liking, but its too sweet though.

Chocolate tart, quite good but it tastes like a spoonful of nutella and crust everytime i eat it. But I prefer this than nutella cuz i like dark choco!

Vanilla ice cream with Banana crumble! I like this cuz its warm, and i love crumbles! the banana slices melted inside together with the soggy crust, but its all rich and yummy.

I thought the vanilla ice cream looks completely cute when they make it this way like an egg. cool beans.

Profiteroles! I love this!! Love desserts with puff and hot fudge.

And lovely people of the Sunday brunch!

I think it will look really nice if everyone's in maxi dresses, and I think the trend of maxi dresses is coming back to town woohoo!

And the highlight of our photos! muahahah, i wonder what the people around us were thinking, am sure it will be something along this line, "these girls are crazy, think they are in beauty pageant ah". hahahhahaha oh wells.

This one is gotta be the funniest, no one wants to put this up but I think we look nice in a funny way!!! see how happy and cheeky we are laughing in the pic below.

On a side note, I have been using laneige skin care a month ago after i received the products. I'm thankful that normally the face doesn't have huge zits popping up, but I believe its due to myself diligently keeping an effort cleansing and taking care of the face! I used to have countless zits on my forehead and since that bad experience, I make it a point to keep the face clean and free from make up whenever possible.

But like I've mentioned, we girls have to keep an effort maintaining/improving the complexion. I know it's kinda a hassle when you are back at home after a long day at work, knowing the fact that you have to remove the make up, and do the 4-5 steps before getting into bed. But well, its important to control the oil and dryness of the face, and to achieve a balance so as to make sure the face is not too dry looking stiff, but moisturized enough to look radiant.

I believe all skin care products work differently on an individual, depending on the skin type etc.

I do have my fair share of bad skin time, and as well times when the skin is absolutely dry. And if you realized, i have fine lines at the bottom of my eyes, and when my skin was really dry back then, the lines was even deeper and more obvious! No joke. Hate it to the max, but as I heard, there's no way to get rid of the fine lines, but only to prevent more from coming out. Boohoo :(

Here's my recent condition of the skin on my bareface.

Pardon the veins, I heard that it means that I was too rough while washing or something that I hurt the blood veins internally that's why the veins are showing, is that true?!

in overall and in my personal opinion and experience, laneige water bank products work pretty well, keeping the face moisturized upon applying the four products after cleansing day and night. I always envy those girls that have the shiny, reflective complexion, and Im working towards that! hehe. If you wanna know if this range suits you, let me tell you my skin concerns to see if you have similar problems!

My problems are that I have dry skin but extremely oily at the T-Zone area (hate it hate it!), especially a few hours later though I have cleansed my face, and yeah, the blackheads and pores!! (hate it hate it hate it!!)

Anyway, the next best part about improving the complexion is because after you put on make up, the skin looks even better!!! Hehehehe.

A super upclose of the Skin.

You can see my eye area is rather dry, though after the make up. Generally the water bank range helps to maintain the moisturize level of the skin, but I guess my eye area is a big problem. :( Would continue using the products, hopefully that area will get more and more moisturized after a while!

i remember overhearing this photographer long time back, complimenting the model about her great skin.

And she replied:
"Of course, make up does wonder."

And he said,
" I have been in shoots for long, even with make up also can see how good the skin is."

Hmmmm true, probably make up can cover the scars, but those uneven complexion, dryness with fine lines and all, can't be hidden.

More peekas!

@#$%%^%$$%$&%@#$%^% Stupid fine lines and cracked lips.

I know this picture might not exactly look like myself, too..... unlike, but i'll put it up cuz it looks nice!!! hahaha :p

*

And I got hold of the funny shots back in the studio one particular day. It's all these times which make the shoot fun and joyous!

Look at this shot, or perhaps you have seen it in the website.

And during this time....

I realised the scarf is a cool prop...........

muahaha, i dont know where is this inspiration from, but was it from some movie or something?

We were all laughing like mad girls!!!!

And take a look at this.. notice there's something around the corner.

We figured out this pic with EMOTIONS look like a scene from the beach, and we need wind...

Man-made wind!!! hahahha

And i was thinking a sitting down shot looks cool with the maxi dress on..

Apparently, they said I look like a fisher-woman!!!!! Like WHAT?!?!

ok, this really does seem like im singing while fishing.

And many spinning shots for the maxi dresses which I ended up squatting on the floor, near ROFL!!!!

My eyelids are getting real heavy, i gotta go!

Feel free to drop a comment or email if you have something to ask yes, as I get really tired during weekdays, I'll most prolly get back to you on the weekends k! :)
