Wow! Just when you thought I'd forgotten about LJ completely! A friend forwarded me an on-line quiz, and my thoughts went in this order "I'd like to post these somewhere, they're funny. I could post them on LiveJournal. Oh yeah, LiveJournal!" So here I am, updating after a million years of internet silence. But now that I'm here, where to start?!
First, I will make sure to make lots of paragraphs, just the way anna likes :) I miss Anna soooo much, but she is visiting soon, I'm so excited! It's weird that I'm already ready for school to start again, but in a way I am-I get so spoiled having my friends just a quick walk away, I hate this whole long-distance thing! I am lucky that a lot of my friends are here for the summer too, Colin just got in from Oregon, and Jill practically lives here, which I love. So I definitely made the right decision in living here for the summer. I was home for a couple weeks at the beginning, and I realized that was just the right amount of time before my family starts to drive me crazy.
Plus being housemates with Elise is mad fun, we cook and bake for each other, watch lots of movies together, and take turns doing dishes and cleaning the litter box. Oh yeah, we have a cat! His name is Tuxedo cause he's all black except for white stripe down his chest. He is 3 months old, and currently curled up at my feet. And surprisingly not trying to eat them. That is one thing I am not looking forward to, lack of pets in the dorms. But hopefully Katie Fry will take him, and he'll be close enough to visit.
I also really like my job-I'm working at Mt. Hope Family center as a research assistant in a psych project looking at the effects of domestic violence on children's development. Sometimes it can get intense, but as a research facility, it's a little more distanced than I would like. I'm more the hands-on type girl, so this isn't what I ultimately want to do, but it is a really good opportunity to see how better information for the world gets started. It has definitely strengthened my decision to go into social work! And my co-workers are just amazing :)
I have a car for the summer, so I'm starting to explore Rochester more. I went to this cool record store with Nate yesterday, and bought four records for a dollar fifty! Then we went to this AMAZING used book store, that smelled like old books and had classical music playing in the background. I was in heaven :)
So here are the quizzes I took! I like the results, and that I have somewhere to post them!
