Thus Does The Loll Slow, Collapse Continuing

How do I tabulate, chronicle or in any way describe a year in which almost nothing has happened?

Health nonsense, money nonsense, stop-start stalling from top to tail, nothing happens, nothing changes, we chew the iron filings and we swallow the glass and we hope for a much-flouted ever-touted best that never seems to come.

At least life is peaceful, for the most part? I'm learning lots of new things. Getting into Linux. Hollow thrills.

Getting into Gibson and books in general. Reading Neuromancer and Prince of Thorns. Adoring both, former more than latter. The problem with the dystopian future books like Neuromancer painted broad brushstrokes of is that the reality is that much more tedious, yet also that much more cloying, trapping, enclosing.

I am getting into a strange form of data leak surfing and ethical hacking because it seems the closest approximation of piracy in the modern era and I can no longer even closely make a living as a writer.

But yes. Very little to report. It's basically been 12 solid months of smashing against a brick wall hoping something will happen.

I'm bored and I'm tired and I'm hungry, always so very hungry.
