Well, you can add me, but you wouldn't see my posts because they're basically all f-locked anyway? But, yeah, we probably won't get along if you are a Trump supporter; racist, homophobe, bigot, and/or misogynist. comment expectations: Please comment every so often! I like discussions even though a lot of my LJ is currently writing progress posts.
anything else? STEAMPUNK. I am very into alternate history and the punk sub-genres. The books I write (and read) are most often alt history or science fiction. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the heart of my soul, and I still like Joss Whedon even though he's not perfect. (That's probably actually a warning for some people.)

Dark City is amazing! I remember I saw it either just before or just after The Matrix came out and I was so mad that no one was paying attention to this other extremely amazing, what-is-reality movie. Dark City needs more love.
I know right? If you take its budget into account, it was even a bit better than Matrix, imho. (though you can't compare those movies 100%)
Something which makes me a bit mad is if someone tells me (just after finding out about the movie) that it is a cheap copy of Matrix, then I am always like, "Check the dates these 2 movies were created/released, end of discussion!" :D
We share similar fandoms (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Harry Potter, MCU, DC television, among some others listed in your userinfo). I also share the same sentiment as you regarding Whedon, I still enjoy him and his work while acknowledging his faults.
My journal is mostly dedicated to my fannish interests with some RL (which is f-locked), and I love commenting and striking up conversation.

And I agree you can't exactly compare them, but if someone forced me to choose, Dark City is clearly my child.

Also I noticed you list Deadpool as a current obsession and I didn't express my undying love for that fourth-wall-breaking lunatic here.
