I stopped playing about a year before it went down due to SG drama/burn-out. I decided not to do a last hurrah when they announced it was going down, but I still mourned its passing. You think those things are always going to be around when you're ready to go back. Or at least around for a long time! XD I was on Virtue.
I made so many good friends from that game and still have some of them. But it was also a very good "casual" game in that it was so easy to just pick up and play solo or gather a group... we tried to find another game that would work for us and none of them fit.
I made some good friends in the game, although nowadays we've mostly lost touch. It was a great casual game, although it ended up eating my life for 2 or 3 years during a depressed period XD Most of them moved on to other games, and I wanted to get on with things. I can't play an MMO responsibly.
