Aw!! I absolutely loved this!! The way you wrote it almost makes it seem melancholy in a way, with your sudden descriptions of George's dark eyes and his dark hair and the mentioning of Ringo wondeirng about the ghosts in his past, and the fact that it's raining when they go to the fair. And also the present tense that it's in and the just the way it's written.

And there were so many other things that I really liked, George's still childish behaviour (the cotton candy) and his vulnerability and the way he doesn't know how to act without John and Paul prompting him and telling him what to do. It really shows his dependence on those two, and probably why they never took any notice of him. Ringo really sort of made him come into himself and realize who he was. (or maybe that's just me??)

Oh, and I LOVED the ending. And was the picture with the three of them on it meant to symbolize somethign?? (Maybe it's just my stupid english analysis skills rearing its ugly head, and maybe I'm reading WAY too into this...and maybe it was just meant as a harmless piece of fluff....but oh well) I feel like it was sort of the beginnings of the group, or like, a promise that George still needs John and Paul with him, or something like that.

Once again, I'm probably reading WAY too into this, but if there's somethign to analyze then I suppose that's good. :) But this fic had so many great things in it, so I had to leave a long comment. :)

and PS, the part about Ringo rocking the car was SO great. :D I can so see that.

quote from your response:

Now there is a lovely thought! That could well be true!

I just thought having George write his number on the back of the picture was a nice chance for Ringo to have a picture of George, even if it did happen to have the other two in it as well. It seemed like such a subtly flirtatious thing for George to do, or maybe that was the only paper he had on him! But if it worked in a larger symbolic way, that's great too! Because when I wrote it, I thought, I hope that picture doesn't make everyone think John and Paul come along on the date too, because I'd like to imagine Ritchie and George got to go off somewhere alone together.

Thanks for the great comment!
