Title: Being Certain
Author: Me
Pairing: J/P (again, though I'm trying to do new ones though...breaking the habit.)
Rating: PG
Summary: John always says things with such unshakeable certainty.  Paul's POV.
Author's Notes:  So...this just hit me in the middle of the night while I was sleeping.  So I woke up and wrote it.  So here you all are, another drabble from me.  I hope you all like it.  :)  It's a bit sad.

He always says things with such unshakeable certainty that I simply have to believe him.  There's no questioning, no arguments, simple a glance of understanding and that's all there is to it.

Conversation over.

So why am I still standing here?  Brain spinning, thoughts whirling, attempting to muster an argument, a rebuttal, counter attack.  My mouth opens, closes, nothing but my hot breath passing through numb lips.

He cocks an eyebrow, lips pursed, waiting, a silent challenge, daring me to object, to tell him he's wrong.  "I'm in love with someone else," he says again, "we're finished."

No questioning.

No arguments.

Conversation over.

[Think I went a bit comma happy there....sorry about that.  Comments complete my entire life]
