A few things about my life at the moment:
1. My physics final was today, my precalculus final is tomorrow, my French final is on Monday, and then I'm OUT!
2. One of my favorite teachers ever is retiring this year, and Monday
might be the last time I ever see him. During his last class with us,
he handed out a poem by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and I loved it so much
that I'm posting it here:
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities
No doubt have crept in;
Forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day;
Begin it well and serenely
And with too high a spirit
To be cumbered with
Your old nonsense.
This day is all that is
Good and fair.
It is too dear,
With its hopes and invitations,
To waste a moment on yesterdays.
3. I've scheduled my road test for a week from today...so hopefully I'll be getting my license soon!
4. However, I have no idea when my parents are actually going to let me
drive by myself. They still don't trust me, despite the fact that I've
never made any major mistakes at all when I've been driving, knock on
wood.
5. I should be studying for math right now, but instead I just got back
from going out to dinner with my dad and his nurses (I got to come
because I work in his clinic once a week) and now I'm alternating
between writing this and reading "In the Lake of the Woods" by Tim
O'Brien because it's amazing.
6. Alex, I saw "I Heart Huckabees" last weekend on On Demand, and it was totally awesome.
7. Next week, Alex (the girl) and I are watching ten movies we've been
meaning to watch all year, over the course of two nights.
8. I am so.
9. So.
10. So.
11. So.
12. Excited for summer.
