details about the job and other ramblings about my fantastic day so far..yeah.

so yeah--last nite--didn't finish the research--instead freaked out about this morning's interview and went to bed before midnite.
woke up this morning, refreshed and yet nervous about said interview.
got showered and dressed.
liz said i looked hot--i almost cringed cause i wanted to look professional--but hey looking hot is something i don't do so that was kinda cool.
went to interview--arrived 10 minutes early (i'm such a suck up)--and then waited for an extra five minutes on the principal and vice principal to get out of meetings.
vice principal (who is the vice principal part time at the school i worked at as student teacher--emma elementary) took me on a tour of the school. the room i'll be teaching in ROCKS. has the BEST view of the ENTIRE school--with these huge ass windows and everything.
then we met up with the principal--discussed logistics such as when are you done with your research--when can you start---what are your strengths--have you dealt with discipline problems--etc. i felt so professional and serious--even though i'm so not at all.
and then she said "okay so i'm offering you the position if you want it"
i was like "YES!"
the vice principal also said that she had been waiting till i was finished with student teaching to offer this position to me---she said i'm perfect for it
AND THE BEST PART IS..is that the teacher might not come back from maternity leave in march--she might decide never to come back and HELLO--WHO'D BE PERFECT FOR THIS SECOND GRADE POSITION??? so yeah--i have a job--it starts dec. 1 and lasts till march---then i'm "supposed" to do an interim position from april-may for a lady at emma in first grade--BUT if this first lady doesn't come back--i can't afford not to take it you know?
oh and liz's mom is the a.g. teacher for henderson county (well one of them anyways) and she knows of an opening at the year round elementary school--so there's all these possiblities and i'm just so SHOCKED because hello i just finished---and here i am.

with a freaking job.

i so don't deserve this luck.

and yet i have worked so hard these past few years--especially the last few months--so maybe i do deserve it?

funniest comments of the day when i called people to tell them i got the job include:
calling damon i scream "I GOT THE JOB" he replies "I KNEW YOU WOULD!"
calling mom and dad i scream "I GOT THE JOB" mom replies "YOU GO GIRL"
calling liz i tell her that i got the job and she says "LET ME BUY YOU LUNCH"
calling keith i scream "I GOT THE JOB" he replies "GIRRRL THAT'S FABULOUS"
i love my life...today anyways :)

so yeah back to finishing this research
*boinnnnnng* (that's me bouncing off the ceiling)
