Maria Anderson walked along the streets of Glasgow, Scotland heading towards the record shop looking for the new Beatles record, Beatles For Sale. Little did she know that this little trip to record shop would change her last couple of weeks of August before heading back to school. As she walked through the door and searched the rows of records before finally spotting the last Beatles For Sale LP on the shelves. She reached for the record but just has she got a hold of it, someone else had their hand on it as well. She looked at the person in front of him. An older looking man, with a mustache, large brim hat, and a long over coat. She couldn't make out his eye colours because of the hat, but he looked at her nervously.
"Something wrong, sir?" she asked tilting her head to the side a bit. He shook his head and let go of the record.
"Nothing, Miss." he said before walking off quickly. Maria watched the man exit out of the store before shrugging it off and going to the register to purchase the record in her hands.
"Will that be all, Miss?" the cashier asked.
"Yes, thanks." she replied.
"All right." he smiled, "That'll be five pounds and six shillings." he spoke looking at the cash register. Maria dug into her coat pocket, pulling out the exact amount due and thanked the cashier once more before making her way out of the store. Just as she turned the corner, she was grabbed from behind and taken into the alley. Before she could scream a hand came across her mouth.
"Ssh." the man from the record shop waited and took his hands off her lips.
"W-what do you want with m-me?" she asked nervously.
"Just wanted to talk, is all." he replied. Maria now knew that the man in front of her was not Scottish, but British. And not just British, Liverpudian.
"You're from Liverpool?" she asked, the man nodded, "Did you get lost?"
"No, not really." he started reaching towards his hat and took it off. Maria watched as all of the man's hair fell down into a mop like the Beatles had. Next the man took off his mustache, which was surprised at first. Maria watched as he looked straight to her and saw George Harrison standing before.
"OH MY GO---" she was going to scream, but George's hand covered her lips, which made her faint. George looked at the girl fall down as she fainted. He chuckled to himself, still weirded out by the girls fainting at the sight of the Beatles. He put on his hat and picked up the girl bridal style towards the hotel which was a block away. Lucky for him no older people or cops saw him carrying the girl or he'd be in trouble.
He managed to open the door and entered the hotel lobby. Of course he got stares from the guests and front desk clerks, and even had a guard come up to him.
"Sir, what is wrong with the girl?" he asked crossing his arms.
"She fainted in front of me." George replied fixing the girl in his arms, who was falling a bit.
"And why would she faint in front of you for?" George looked around to make sure no one was close by to hear him.
"Because I'm George Harrison." he answered. The guard looked him up and down and chuckled.
"Yeah, and I'm Mick Jagger." he spoke with sarcasm, "If you do not tell the truth, I'll have to take you in." his face went stern once again.
"I'm serious, sir." George replied, "If you don't believe me, I'll take my disguise off right here." The guard shrugged. George sighed and put the girl on the chair beside him and looked at how busy the lobby was. But he knew that he would be in trouble if he didn't take his disguise off so he did and the guard's eyes went wide.
"All right." he said looking around the lobby, "I believe you."
"OH MY GOD!!!!!" a loud scream echoed threw the lobby, "IT'S GEORGE HARRISON!!!!!" The guard picked the girl up bridal style as he ran with George down the hall and pushing the elevator button. The elevator was on floor 13, and George watched as the fans grew closer, but finally the elevator opened and luckily no one was in it. Both the guard and himself got in and pushed the 12th floor button.
"That was a close one." George muttered under his breathe. The guard nodded as they waited for the elevator to stop and open the doors.
Three minutes later...
George had thanked the guard, who of course asked for an autograph for his daughter, which George complied before checking up on the girl who was now lying on the bed. After checking up on her he went into the main room and phoned Pattie and asking her how things were in Kenya where she took her vacation with her sister, Jenny. Once he hung up, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
